Called NVC today and they said my case has not been recieved yet, my NOA2 day was 4/27/12

Unfortunately, you probably won't get your case number at all this month due to NVC's backlog :(

Thanks a lot Saylin!!!!! Appreciate your quick response.

After reading your reply, I am thinking to start preparing a list of all IV documents which I need from my wife in India send it to me before I get my NOA2. So I won't waste time on it after NOA2 is issued. I may send my final list on this thread sometime tonight to verify I am not preparing any documents incorrectly.

Regarding DS-3032 thru email: if my wife sends out this email from her email address, does she need to send it thru mail as a backup? Or people on VJ only send it thru email only?

I will have her sign DS-230 filled up and signed it and send it to me and I may ask her to send it again only if the document is changed by the time I get my NOA2. I guess chances of change in DS-230 form are less, so hopefully she won't need to send it to me twice.

Yup, you can definitely write out your list of required documents and we'll verify.

Nope, no need to mail the DS-3032 if you email it.

The reason why I suggested waiting for your NOA2 date before she mails it off is because of her signature. It would be better if her signature is dated within a month of NVC receiving the packages. It might not be a big deal if it's a few months, but I wouldn't recommend it. It's currently taking a month to just get a case number assigned, it would still be another 2 or 3 weeks before you can mail off the IV package. Does it take nearly 2 months to receive mail from India?

Great! I will get the list ready soon :)

How about having my wife sign DS-230 but not to put date on it? I will fill out the date myself before I mail it to NVC? :)

I will ask her to send IV documents to me via express mail which usually takes about 5 days. So actually I can wait to have her send me all documents until I get NOA2. But I just want to have myself learn all things and be prepared for the next step rather than waiting till the day when NOA2 is issued to us :)

She has to be the one to sign it.

If it only takes about 5 days, then you will have plenty of time to receive the package if you wait for her to mail it once you have your NOA2. You also want her police and passport clearance certificates to be as new as possible.

Definitely no harm in finding out the process now no0pb.gif I did the very same thing :)

Saylin,

I called Nvc today and Moli told me that my case was completed on APRIl 18.I said no it was completed on APRIL 10!.She explained to me if you emailed your checklist multiple time, your case re-opens each time they read the next email. If you want to change the CC date, simply forward your April 10th email to NVcElectronic and tell them to change it.(i actually send multiple PCC Checklist email to NVC,i guess 7 time Coz i was mad)

So i email them about it.Let's see if they can correct it.

Still nothing heard from Montreal about expedite request.

Funny, it was my husband that was getting antsy during the wait to be notified of the interview. When you factor in that you have to go to Montreal ahead of time for the medical, there really isn't much time to get everything booked. Why there isn't anywhere in the middle of the country to have a medical, I don't know. (Another job for Saylin when she takes over DOS, USCIS & NVC.)

There was a guy interviewing at the same time as me who had had his medical in Toronto but the results weren't ready so he was asking how he could send them in. I didn't hear the response.

There really isn't. But there's nothing that can be done. The only thing my husband worries about is money. We're not independently wealthy, but we're not destitute either. If we have to break into the savings bonds, we do, giving himself an ulcer over it isn't going to change things. (OMG I sound just like him!)

Dude must not have allowed himself enough time. Mr. Sheeshka is going a week before the interview at Medisys just in case.

I was just trying to sign on to the payment portal to see if our AOS bill was available to be paid yet and I can't even get in! Keep getting a window saying "Oops! Page not found".

Nevermind...right after I posted that, I tried again. Got in, but same message. "You cannot make online payments for your case at this time. Please contact the NVC if you have questions or need further information."

Looks like they might be fixing the payment portal! I got that once or twice when logging in to check our invoices. Let's hope that's what's going on!!

I just tried to log on our account and I'm getting "The server at ceac.state.gov can't be found, because the DNS lookup failed. DNS is the network service that translates a website's name to its Internet address."

I betcha a dollar to a Timmy's doughnut, they're working on the web page and tomorrow you guys will be able to pay your invoices!
