Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Here's the fun bit.

NVC is creating a mondo huge electronic version of everything you've submitted , is called a 'SAFEFILE' record of the casefile. SAFEFILE is the big computer network that NVC uses to send electronic versions of casefiles to the IV units, worldwide. That I-130 is already in there. The stuff you send in via ep gets put in there. At some point, when yer done with NVC, and NVC completes their final review - NVC schedules the interview and PUSHES THE BUTTON for the casefile to show up at the GUZ IV dataset.

It's truly electronic. I swear.

SAFEFILE rocks! Keep feeding it, you've some time.

Thanks Darnell!!! By the way, I am really happy with progress made last week - NVC received petition -> Got NVC Case # -> Converted to EP -> Paid AOS Fee -> emailed AOS. It's wonderful.

Hey everyone, I called the NVC on Tuesday (15th of May) since our NOA2 was approved on May 3rd. They said it takes at least 15 business days to even begin processing it and to call back on May 24th. I just feel like this is taking forever to get them to even see if the case has been received. The guy I spoke to was not the nicest, he seemed annoyed I was calling too soon, so I'm hoping they're not all like that? I want to call Monday to get an update, is it still too soon or should I just wait until the 24th like he said? Ahhhhh the stress!!!! Thanks everyone :D

I had the same concern as you are having. Everytime I called NVC, I was told petition not received. Turned out, NVC did have my petition and I got my case # bit of over one month after NOA2. So relax, you should be ok.

Good to hear I'm not alone, I know some of us out there have been waiting even longer so I should just suck it up but it's hard! So based on what I see here, NVC could take an average of 1.5-2 months?!

I must remember, patience is a virtue! :)

Hello everybody,

Im being a big issue right now, my husband lives with me abroad, and now that we are getting the AOS ready I saw we need to proof his domicile in the U.S

But I`m not sure how.

He has a drive license that he just renew with this father address, so we are planning to send a copy of that, and the email saying that it was recently renew by the DL office.

Also he maints his Bank account in the U.S in MA, but other than that, we dont have nothing more =/

Is it enough? I dont think so... so we have some ideas, We gonna live with his father so we are planning to have his father writing a letter or a contract saying we gonna live with him (it would replace the lease for a rent apart.)

Also, my husband is a student, so not job now, we are planning to try to register him in a school next to the place we gonna live in MA, we have some ideas, and in fact he is gonna study there anyways,

I dont think we can finish his registration from here, but we can send the emails to the NVC showing he is trying to register..

Do you think its enough guys?

Who have this experience can help me here?

We got our case expedited in 10 days, now the NVC is soooooo much harder for me, oh gosh!

Thanks a lot

It's currently taking around a month to get a case number from NOA2. Look at my spreadsheet (linked below in my signature and on the first post).

Those are some good ideas for domicile. Have you checked out post 2 yet? There's a question about domicile and a huge list of example items to send. It might give you some more ideas on what you can send.

Is he registered to vote in the US? I'll be using my US bank account, my drivers license and my voters card when the time comes. :)
