is there a way to expedite K1 visa?

I know getting a visa to USA can take a looooooooooooooooooooooong time..

and..

According to the USCIS, cases may be expedited if they involve a serious financial loss, an

extreme emergency,or a humanitarian situation.

I wanna know, does anyone here tried to expedite their application? how?

The language you read concerning expedites is "boiler plate" and included in any instructions for any visa or any petition. They do not generally apply, in practice, to K-1s

It is very common for K-1s to ask for expedites, it is extremely rare for them to be granted. 2 scenarios that seem to work...the petitioner (US Citizen) is in the military and has orders to be deployed to a combat area. The other is that the foreign beneficiary has a child that is likely to "age out" (turn 21) during the process. Not much else works. You need to provide evidence of either.

There really are no humanitarian issues pertaining to the PIs, hard to prove a financial loss of a fiancee that cannot work when they arrive and what "extreme emergency" would apply to a K-1? Expedites apply ONLY to the adjudication process, do not eliminate the chance of an RFE, and do not speed the process with NVC or the consulate. That requires separate expedite requests.

But it is FREE to try.

we did it with our situation .we were granted after 5days..we tried it out and thought we will fail but we went thru it succesfully oweee! no harm in tryng though. and oh! never heard of humanitarian issues got approvd

Do you have a valid reason for wanting/needing an expedite? Do you have proof of this reason?

I filed an expedite request based on humanitarian reasons (danger in home country; based on countless worldwide news and government agencies reporting on the fact that the city we live in is #1 in the world most dangerous for violent crimes; sent in various news reports and evidence of imminent danger). Was denied on the basis of "not meeting expedite request criteria guidelines."

You seem to have misunderstood the point of an expedite request.

The criteria are set for a good reason, there is no any other way outside the criteria. The expedite option is there for people who really need it under extreme emergency situation and can prove it.

If there was a convenient way to expedite, everybody would request an expedite.

And if everybody virtually get expedited, there would be no differences.

I requested expedite due to upcoming military deployment with the evidence provided being- a letter from my flight commander stating high probability of an upcoming deployment, and a letter from myself stating why the lengthy processing would cause hardship.

For overkill I also included a few LES statements, orders to my current duty station (not deployment orders), photocopy of my CAC ID, my enlistment contract.

I was approved. I figure it doesn't hurt to try since all they can say is no, it will not delay your case if they deny it and you can request expedite every 60 days at most.

What do you guys think? My fiancée in Moscow 2 weeks ago was sexually assaulted when she entered her building. A man Cornered her while pleasured himself. Fortunately he didn't touch or harm her.

It's painful to sit here and not be able to do anything.

( we got 1 month into whole process)

Now she lives scared and wondering if this maniac is following her around and if he's going to strike again. I'm frustrated and worries every time she says she's out and about.

You guys think if we provide a police report and a proper petition , is this a valid reason to expedite?
