I received back my petition today, returned, for the following reason:

The amount check is incorrect. Please review the form instructions for fee information.

I sent a $350 check. what is the correct fee for I-129F?

Arggg... that's the question I asked you on your other topic, if you sent 350 or 340. It's $340. Re-read the Instructions carefully!

I sent in $340 last October, refer to I-129F instructions.

Well that should be a relatively easy fix.

As an advice, you should re-check your whole package and documents and be sure it meets all the requirements in the USCIS instructions... or you're going to lose some time later again if they send you a RFE. :)

The VISA fees changed (paid at the consulate stage), not the PETITION fees (paid at the USCIS stage).

according to above website fees for visa services ;K – Fiancé(e) or Spouse of U.S. citizen category visa: $240.00

I went to your consulate website and it also says this:

"What fees are involved in obtaining a K visa?

There is a US$240 non-refundable application/processing fee for each K visa applicant. This fee is payable in U.S. dollars or its current peso equivalent. There are three ways to pay the K visa application fee: cash payment at any Bank of the Philippine Island (BPI) branch; online payment bill option provided by BPI to their clients; or online payment through Bancnet. For more details regarding K visa payment options, please visit http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph and click Bank and Payment Options".

A mistake in the amount of the check or any other very BASIC error often means there are other issues which would not cause a rejection but WILL cause an RFE. Good advice!

The only things that cause a rejection are improper check amounts, lack of payment or lack of signatures. Any other error will be addressed with an RFE much later and at greater loss of time.

For the visa fees, yes. Not the petition. OP is at the petition stage.

Agree, consider this a blessing in disguise. Re-read the K-1 guide on this site as well as the I-129F instructions and make sure everything is correct -- including the $340 check -- before you send in your petition and supporting materials again.

Very well taken. I will check on my forms and send it here for confirmation as to the right form, in order not to commit the same mistake again. They messed up all the documents that i sent. Removed it in folders and the tags and placed it in a box disarrange. So i have to do it all again and i am so inept. Anyway, will ask my fiancee to help me again. But for now I have to go. Thank you all for the comments.
