Guys , I decided to ask the question as someone mentioned that in one of the posts today. Is there anyone here, who has been granted a K1 Visa even though you spent physically less than 30 days together?is there any rule when it comes to the time at all?

Me and my fiance met 4 times within the past year but it total it was only 25 days face to face!Could that be a problem in proving a bonafide relationship?We have full time jobs and it's not really possible for us to see each other for longer

No, you only need to have met in person in the past 2 years and both have to be legally free to marry ....

The rule is that you must have met at least once in the past two years of filing your application. It does not specify for how long ( days, weeks). The more times you meet and the longer time you spend together will strengthen your case for a bonafide relationship. A number of people only visited for one week.

I haven't seen anything saying that 30 days is a hard and fast rule. The person who posted that is dealing with Nigeria, and it may be a firm guideline there, but shouldn't necessarily be applied to other locations. You're dealing with Ireland, so from what I have seen here, you have nothing to worry about.

Edit: there is also a difference between the requirements for approval of the I-129F (one meeting within the last 2 years) and the factors that will lead to K-1 approval, especially at a difficult consulate like Lagos. While one short meeting is certainly sufficient for the I-129F, a difficult consulate would hesitate to approve (but of course not necessarily deny) the K-1 based on one short meeting. I think that is what the post you saw was referencing.

Well it's true as far as the approval for I129F petition later on at the embassy you have to prove a bit more than that so I was really asking about the K1 visa not the petition stage

We physically spent 1 week together prior to my fiance (wife) coming here.

You only need to meet in person, can be at the airport for one second as you run in and out of the plane!

You need to demonstrate for the interview that you have a legitimate relationship.

We only met for 10 days and got approved.

The 30 day discussion is Nigeria ( Lagos ) specific. Lagos is the hardest place to have your interview at and the rules are very different that anywhere else ( other than maybe MENA) You aren't held to the same standard as we are.
