The police met with SIX witnesses for SEVEN hours and did not keep Zimmerman in custody? And you still believe any of the nonsense you have heard? Maybe Jesse Jackson was misinformed about the tape?

It seems the official reports conflict with almost everything we were told.

I'm begnning to re-think my idea about the prosecutor deciding to make the decision on her own rather than take it to a grand jury. A grand jury would be a media circus that would be focused on regular individuals on the jury. Given that supporters of Martin (hoodies) have shown that they have no regard for the law, that would be jeapordizing the jurors and really creating nothing but a media storm.

On the other hand, there is no statute of limitation for what Zimmerman could be charged with and the prosecutor could just decide to investigate it for a good long time. The "hoodies" will all drift back to reality TV food stamp Mac & Cheese and in 6 months or so she announces they have decided not to prosecute. Voila!

Nothing will be changed in the "stand your ground laws" It is an election year, be serious.

Florida may eliminate its requirement for a permit to carry a handgun and just let anyone do it without a permit like 5 other states now do. That is more likely.

Everyone is entitled to self defense. The NRA supported law is not racist, it applies to everyone. If Zimmerman was defending himself it is fantastic that he will get to walk. Yes. Glad you agree.

Wait a minute, make up your mind, a person who hunts down people (specially Black people) are not shielded under "stand your ground".

Danno I believe Mr. Z exceeded his authority as neighborhood watch officer, and as near as the story can be pieced together brought about the contact which lead to the altercation, and like so many gun weenies, used his when he was getting a beat down by the now senselessly dead teenager.

I also suspect poor wording of the Florida law makes all persons in Florida in more, not less danger.

You posted the legislation, and I suspect poor wording and/or poor interpretation. Again, gangbangers have avoided prosecution in Florida due to this law. Happy with that? I wouldn't be if I lived in Florida.
