I dont understand this touch issued. I signed up on the uscis website to get the regular updates. I got my NOA1 from January 25. But im surprise that a full 2 months have passed and the last update is on February 9. Does any one else has issues like this? BTW it s at the VSC.

Please read the 100s of other posts on Touched. Use the search function on the right hand side of the website.

There is nothing to care about if its touched or not. Touch is not important and most people never have a touch ever.

Not all records get updated. Some show touches, and some never do. My K1 petition still shows only that they have received it, and was never updated again.

It has been 2 months and yet everywhere you look it says it will take 5 months. In 3 more months you can start getting anxious, for now just take a deep breath and relax. If you get lucky and it happens in under 5 months it will be a great surprise.

Use your timeline to get an idea of when your petition may be reviewed.

That is a good rule of thumb.

BTW, the time frame for our petition (NOA1 to NOA2) was a couple of days over (147 days) from what the VJ stats predicted (136 days), but still less than CSC's own stats (150 days). Overall, pretty much right on the money. OF course, a lot is dependent on the VJ members to fill in their timelines, to improve the statistical power of the site's stats.

A touch means they moved the file from one box to another.....like when they spill coffee all over it.

You will probably get a NOA2 (approval) before you get touched. Like the folks here have been telling you it is basically irrelevant. Mine haven't been "touched" in 5 months!!!!!!

I got my approval in 4.5 month without any touch at all but the original one. Just hang in there.

LOL Baron555. So true. I think we just look at "touched" as someone is looking and processing. I sure can't whine, YET! its only been 8 days. LOL. This is just some weird evil way to teach us all patience, meet new friends and maybe bring the world a little closer together. One approval at a time.
