Keep in mind that Embassies are in the Capital City.

Consulates are located in other major cities.

Seriously, it is one or the other. Clearly though, it was the Consular Section within the two choices. AKA ConSec.

Interview - February 13th APPROVED! day 152

April 6 - wedding date day 204

Aug 22 - AOS interview date day 101-total days 342

Sept 29 - green card arrives, done until June 2008 day 140-total days 381

2008

June 30 - I-751 mailed total days 1025

2009

March 9 - Removal of Conditions approved! total days 1277

Embassy in Ankara, Turkey the Consulates do process immigrant visas, the K Visas are considered immigrant visas. We will most likely go back for the CR-1 as well.

OUR K-3 INTERVIEW WAS ON NOV. 1ST @ 10:00!!!

VISA APPROVED!!!

WE ARRIVE IN THE USA ON NOV. 10TH!!!

Consulate, Sydney, Australia. The only consualte in Australia where interviews are held for immigrant visas, though there are other state consulates that do now process if filing directly (DCF) but the interviews are still only in Sydney. The Embassy in Canberra does not process or conduct interviews for immigrant visas (including K visas).

Pras' K-1 was processed/issued at the consulate in Chennai in Dec 2005.

My (EB-3) GC was issued at consultate in Montreal in Dec 1999 (and my US citizenship was done in Apr. 2005).

2005/07/10 I-129F filed for Pras

2005/11/07 I-129F approved, forwarded to NVC--to Chennai Consulate 2005/11/14

2005/12/02 Packet-3 received from Chennai

2005/12/21 Visa Interview Date

2006/04/04 Pras' entry into US at DTW

2006/04/15 Church Wedding at Novi (Detroit suburb), MI

2006/05/01 AOS Packet (I-485/I-131/I-765) filed at Chicago

2006/08/23 AP and EAD approved. Two down, 1.5 to go

2006/10/13 Pras' I-485 interview--APPROVED!

2006/10/27 Pras' conditional GC arrives -- .5 to go (2 yrs to Conditions Removal)

2008/07/21 I-751 (conditions removal) filed

2008/08/22 I-751 biometrics completed

2009/06/18 I-751 approved

2009/07/03 10-year GC received; last 0.5 done!

2009/07/23 Pras files N-400

2009/11/16 My 46TH birthday, Pras N-400 approved

Our CR1 was issued via the embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan.
