Almost 3 Weeks, NVC says it could take 90 Days???

Ok, so normally once the case is processed (from what I have seen) when it leaves CSC, it takes a few weeks at most to get to the NVC to forward it on.

However, I have been waiting now 3 weeks, and contacted NVC each week. I keep getting a differnet answer, some of the reps say wait 4 weeks, other say wait 3 months...so which is it????

WHY is this taking so long to have the freakin mail from CSC to the NVC????

If you look at the VJ flow cart page it is indicated wait time for NOA2 to NVC is 2 weeks and NVC time can be 1 to 4 weeks so total time can be as long as 6 weeks for those 2 steps (5,6). Has a lot to do with timing at service center they don't just send packages every day from center to center, they tend to send as a bulk shipment 1 or 2 times a week. I noticed this when looking at the shipments from NVC to the consulates, they tended to bulk ship every thing on Monday and nothing for the days after that. If you factor the 2 weeks from service Center to NVC then NVC has had your case for 1-2 weeks.

hi all -

my letter from the NVC was dated sept. 18,2006. and it said that...

the state departments NVC has recently received an approved I-129F petition filed on behalf of your fiance. this letter is to let you know that within a week the petition will be forwarded to the appropriate visa-issuing post where your visa interview will take place.

they gave me a case number and the address of where they will send my petition across seas...

then it says your fiance will soon receive a packet with instructions from the consulat section on how to apply for the K1 visa at that post...

and its... Oct. 2 and news that it was even sent yet... so do i just take it that it was sent overseas??

one more thing on the support doc... i am haveing a co-sponser and does the co-sponser have to cover the # of their family and my family or do they make up the difference what i dont make????

thank you,

michelle/otman

Congrats! at least something was happening on your case. We got approved on 9-11 and our case has still not been forwarded to the NVC yet. Well, maybe today or tomorrow. never give up the hope! LOL

package #3 is what your fiance will get from the consulate where he/she lives. it includes some forms and a document check list for all documents he/she needs to provide for the later interview.

so nothing you really can do about that to help him/her except of you should send the I-134 (affidavit of support) as soon as possible to him or her.

package #3 gives also farther instructions how the whole process will go on and we would recommend for your fiance to send all requested forms and the check list back as soon as possible to prevent any delays.

Good Luck

I wish we would have your patience! LOL

we are stressing out about because this endless waiting is just annoying and since we don´t have much trust in CSC they maybe could mess up things again.

Well, now we hope our case will get transfered to the NVC this week still.

It´s doubtful the papers will arrive in Frankfurt/Germany until Oct. 10 like the one lady from the NVC told us they would when the other day we again called there for the x-times.

Guess we will just have to wait and see. No big change since that´s anyway all we could do for the last almost 6 months.

Good Luck

I guess I will keep trying every few days and will stress out only if I see Sept 8 or later getting done and I am still waiting.

OK, Now I'm getting concerned. We just received our NOA2 Sept 20. but a 3 month wait to arrive at NVC!!!! The NOA2 Notice had a Valid from date 09/20/06 to 01/19/2007 The 3 months would CUT 3/4 of the validity time! I thought I was done with CSC ignorance :wacko::wacko:

My case was entered into the system just yesterday. Yours should be done in few days. Since NVC deals with all immigration visa, they give this standard reply that it may take 3 months. I also got that reply last week. But K1 are done faster. By the way, some cases of Sept 18 NOA2 have arrived at NVC. I am sure you will hear soon.
