TATTOOS during Medical at St Lukes Manila

My fiancee has one tattoo (small on her hip) and while it was not a big deal in the medical exam, the embassy required her to allow them to take a photo. We were told the embassy must take photos of all tattoos - but they asked first if they could be photographed while she was clothed. If you need to be nude, they must make other arrangements to get the photos.

I'm pretty sure tattoos aren't contagious so I don't think it will be an issue! :hehe:

I would say, do not judge book by its cover. I think tattos are a piece work of art and am not going to against it at all. I, myself, could never have them for personal reasons. In overall, it must be so painful to get those for sure. I would never dared myself to do so.crying.gif. I know people in person who have tattoos and they are very nice and have good hearts inside.

I don't drink alcohol and smoking as well but won't going to say whoever craving in those are bad people just because they're doing it unless they've started to bothering me with their lifestyle choice.

I read, some people can removed it by laser if they wanted to get rid of -just had a thought about what Megan Fox was doing to removed her Marilyn Monroe's tatto on her arm-. Be yourself, be a good person, and all that matters.rose.gif. Good luck, girl!

I agree with Girl from Celebes, You cant judge people by its cover. Tattoos are fine, every people put tattoos has their own reason and its meaning. My fiance has a tattoos, doesn't matter to me,

I like it and its sounds cool, he just want to express his feelings and just a part of an art. What matter most is, it's not drugs and you never hurt anyone. if you think that's makes you happy then go for it.

I wanted to have tattoos in my wrist with my fiance's name, but i don't have courage to do it. I know it hurts

I am proud of you kcir-is-love, You just showed who you are, better to be yourself than pretending.

Good luck, happy 2012.

I think your biggest problem will be security at the airport when flying. if those tunnels are supported by metal. As long as the tattoos are healed, there should be no problem. Just do not get any fresh ones while going through the visa process. Celebrate with a new one after getting to USA.

the only thing I would be really worried about is any lead poisoning from the ink. You may want to checked every so often to make sure there is no lead getting into your bloodstream. Lead in your blood would be something to consider when having children.

hope all goes well for you.

Modern tattoo ink, some colors do contain oxides and such, however it doesn't enter ones bloodstream, lol...it goes into the dermis layer of the skin...oh and I would not worry about setting off metal detectors at airports, I work for a commercial airline and fly all the time, and you can see I have many tattoo's and not only have I not heard of this worry before today, I've not had any alarms going off....ahahha, too funny what people think

I have a rib piece, a leg piece, a script below my belly, one on the left side of my tummy, on my left and right butt cheeks...

Would I be having any problems with these?

One post violating TOS has been removed along with one post quoting TOS violation. Administrative action has also been taken.

If the titanium rod in my leg doesn't worry the folks at TSA I doubt a little (or a lot) ink will. I push the meter to the edge but never to the point of needing "special attention"

It wouldn't be a problem. I have 4. They would just put abnormal skin condition but it's no big deal.

Stop worrying. Good Luck. :)
