I'm sorry for you. I'd definitely advise you to wait a little while. If you do nothing it doesn't hurt anything and if in a while you still aren't going through with it then you can catch it at the consulate. It would be terrible if you were to reconcile things and had already cancelled.

Good luck

Alex

Sorry to hear the bad news. To withdraw the petition, just sent a brief letter cancelling the approved petition to USCIS and probably to NVC for the reason that your petition may be on the way to there.

Good Advice Alex and was just what I was thinking. Anyone can say here the Petition Process is hard and stressful. Some Couples are meant to be and others are not so the test comes into play. It is not abnormal to spat with your financee/finance, wife or husband when your apart and going through all the stress.

A good post was supplied to Terminate the Petition. Sleep on it. I see aggression in your post so I assume your upset or maybe decided this is not right for me. Either way. It's your life. and hers too. Make the best decision.

Good for you. Often I wish that was an option for but maybe in a few years. If you are at the NVC already, call them and let them know that you are cancelling the petition. You may want to go ahead and email the consulate anyway even if the petition hasn't reached there yet.

Good Luck.

Actually need to sent a letter to insure it gets to the right person handling your case. There is a form to fill out for formal withdrawal. but the letter will be accepted. Keep copy for your records and sent it out certified return receipt so there is proof. Sorry things did not work out.

Now that you have gone through the wait and all the effort, it might be a good idea to finish the job just in case you would ever want to both move back to the U.S. for some reason?
