Yes we did also send in the I-130 and I got a medical done here after we got married from civil surgeon. We have an awesome lawyer, so far I am happy with the progress. Let's just hope that everything comes quickly! At least the EAD so I can hopefully start working coming September. I am planning on trying to go in for an early biometrics once I receive the appointment letter. So for that I just go and do a walk-in hand them the appointment letter and they usually let you take the picture and fingerprints early, or how does that work? I will be going to the Oakland office in California for that. Thanks!

Most offices allow walk-ins although to be honest it doesn't really speed anything up! Lol :)

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Thank you, VJ! smile.png

Hi everyone...

I am just printing things out and getting the papers together today. We hope to be able to get things in the mail tomorrow morning. I am apply for AOS/EAD/AP all at once.

Question:

Although I am applying for three seperate things, I do send everything to the same address, right? Do we send ONE cheque for the grand total or three separate cheques? (FYI: I am living in AK.)

thanks

Adjusting from K-1

06/24/11 - mailed AOS/EAD/AP applications to Chicago Lockbox

06/29/11 - received email notification of arrival

08/05/11 - still no word on EAD - no RFE, no NOA... Wondering if this is something to worry about?!

08/11/11 - biometrics apt in Fairbanks (apt letter listed AOS only)

I sent out our AOS on June 6th, delivery confirmed but still not even a cashed check or anything in the mail. Starting to get worried especially since I see people are getting pretty fast responses... :\

Some people waited 30 days or even more to get their NOA. They are receiving alot of applications so it takes longer for some people than others so don't worry, it's coming!

My Immigration Journey:

K1: June 2010 - December 2010

AOS: April 2011 - June 2011

Good Luck to all the June filers! We filed our whole package (I-130, I-485, to also include I-693, I-864, I-131, I-765) yesterday. We've been researching on this website ever since we got married and appreciate all the help while preparing this package. Now it's our turn to give back and hopefully help others! :D
