My friend is married to a US citizen who is about to file AOS application for her the problem is, though it's a bonifide marriage he's 27 years old and she is 45 .Would their ages be of any problem?

Most likely their case will be subject to more scrutiny than usual. Age difference on its own is not a basis for denial but they should be ready with every evidence they have to show that their marriage is bonafide.

As previous poster said. It might raise a 'red flag' so they should make sure they have lots of 'evidence' of bonafide marriage.

Are there any other potential red flags?

Also...it seems most conscientious people here, even with no potential 'red flag' (I include myself here) make sure the evidence they provide covers every base to try to ensure they are approved without question. So just tell your friend to make sure they are meticulous in putting their packet together.

As long as it is not uncommon in that society, not a problem.

The only other thing is he's white and she's black.

I see that you said HE is the USC and he is white and 27. You said SHE is the foreigner and black and 45. If he was the immigration it might be more of a red-flag if his culture doesn't usually marry older women (like some MENA countries).

They might suspect he's just marrying her because she paid him to help her get a visa but without proof I doubt there's much risk.

A lot of other things can matter though, like how long she's been there, what visa she's AOSing from, how they met etc. Age alone should be fine but there could be other negative's in their case that COMBINED with age make it look like fraud.

Well as far as I know my friend has always been attracted to younger men.She has three kids by a younger man though not as young as her husband. Also she's been previously married to a US citizen and never even bother filing for adjustment of status. As far as money goes she does not have money to pay someone to marry her.Her husband is the only one working and taking care of her and her kids.

Dunno. You haven't seen her. If I wasn't married, and she looked like Halle Berry (who is 44), then I'd support her kids... and her parents... and her cousins...

I wonder what would happen if I were a young 19 year old stud beneficiary and Betty White was my foxy petitioner... Would they approve us?
