I am in total agreement with you and I am one of the lucky ones that was able to visit my fiance a lot! I also speak to him everyday and that also helps! I have decided to throw a party for us and my family is going in august so getting things ready for that has both kept me and him occupied! Thank goodness for Tel3! Does anyone else know of a better minute provider and cheaper than them? If so can you please share. I have to call a cell phone. I also wanted to add that I think this long distance relationship has helped our relationship into a very open and well communicated one. I can't wait for him to be by my side but I have a lot of faith that my time will come soon. I am soooooo happy for everyone that good news keeps coming to them. I love hearing about it.

I have not seen my babe since January and it truly seems like forever and waiting is truly torture, but I am learning to take it one day at a time and think about the big picture. G&G, I use Rebtel to call me husband in Nigeria, I looked up their rates for calling the Dominican Republic and its: 4.9 cents for Landlines and 9.9 Cents for Mobile. The way that it works is you sign up for free, enter in all international numbers you call(these numbers are assigned local american numbers), and you credit your account anywhere from $10 to $150 and start using your local number to call your husband. I've been using it for over a year and have no problems, you don't have to worry about how much you cellular provider will charge you for long distance and can talk freely with your love. Let me know if you need any help with it but setup is easy. Goodluck. www.rebtel.com

The waiting is the worse... We had been placed in AP and around 4 months they called approving his visa only to call him three days later saying they were returning his passport with no visa issue. We have now been waiting an additional 5 months and it seems to be going no where. The only thing I can suggest to you my dear is a lot of patience and love. I wish you a speedy visa issue for I wouldn't wish the wait upon my worse enemy.

Yeah we definitely can all relate to this... I cried so much when I left my husband at the airport and came home that during my flight the flight attendants took extra care of me lol...but just remember its the prize at the end of all this...it's priceless so that's what we're all going for...to spend the rest of our lives with the one we love most.. hang in there..it's hard...frustrating but it only lasts for a short time in comparison to how much time we have after all this is over :)

Just hang in there. Its all you can do. I didn't think we would ever make it through this process but here it is, 9 mos later and we are at the final stage. Have interview on June 29th. I haven't seen my husband since Jan 6 and won't see him till he arrives July 14th to come and collect me and my belongings. Its not easy but thank God for Skype!!! My husband also phones me every morning which is so nice. People say Love is never enough but they have never gone through Immigration!!!! Love is enough sometimes.

I JUST WANTED TO SHARE THAT I AM CURRENTLY IN THE WAITING PROCESS FOR OUR APPROVAL AND THIS WAITING PROCESS IS TORTURE. I JUST CAME FROM SEEING HIM AND EVERY TIME I LEAVE HIM IT GETS HARDER AND HARDER. :crying::(

For discounted calling to India, I use reliance. This is exclusive to India only though. It's pretty much the AT&T of India.

For others, use skype. Free, video calling and you can use it just like a phone as well turning off the video feature. Just have to have a computer to do all of it.

How much is Tel3? I use a website that is called http://llamarepublicadominicana.com/ there minutes to cell phones are 9 cents a minute and you can have up to 10 numbers on speed dial. You dont even have to put in your pin everytime you call and they dont steal your minutes. You can put as low as $5 on your account. That's 51 minutes but they never expire. I've been using them for 2 years and never had any issues. If you do decide to use them please enter this code: f461a Thank you and hope this works!!!!
