There is a lot us in the same situation if this helps.

At least you are able to meet him, some of us can't due to finances or other obligations (work, school etc.).

Hang in there, that's all I can really tell you.

It's been 3 months since I have seen my wife...it's felt like 3 years...

I know how you feel its really depressing walking through that damn black door at the airport and leaving your hubby behind without being able to take him with you. There's probably nothing I can tell you to make you feel better other than we are pretty much all in the same boat here just waiting for someone behind a desk (or a glass window) to decide on the rest of our lives. Pray my dear. Praying=healing. That's the only thing that works for me when I feel as depressed as you are right now! :)

I keep looking for things to do to keep my mind off of how much I miss her. I am always thinking of her but thinking about how much it sucks to be away from her will drive me crazy. I think my next project is to make a full size replica of the Taj Mahal. I think after this project is complete I will only have a few months left to wait. Best of luck to you.

I'm in school to get my Master's in Nursing. I am pretty busy, but if I find myself having some down time to think how much I miss herI quickly find my hobbies to the rescue, working on my car, working on computers and I find that exercising helps get rid of a good amount of stress. Nothing like a good workout to end the day to rid yourself of the days stress.

I know what u r feeling sister. Coz we r in the same boat in here. It's been 5 months and 6 days since my precious husband left and it feels like an eternity, I hate it when we connect and all what we can do is to talk and tell each other how much we miss to be together, is about him I think when I go to bed and abt him when I wake up. I'm trying to be patient and trying to help him to be patient but deep down my heart is crying out loud. It's not fair for a couple to be away from each for the sake of the stupid procedure of visa. But all what I can say to u sis is to hang in there and be patient for the sake of ur love pray and ask God to make it easy for u. Good Luck in ur journey and I'm gonna pray for u that u have an easy smooth fast processing!!

Hang in there....right now it feels like time is dragging, but it will pass....I was in your shoes not that long ago....for almost a year I was going to Dominican Republic on a monthly basis for 3 days....I was in a depressed state when I had to leave him, didn't want to do anything around the house, nothing was fun until the moment I was with him....now he's with me, thank God. Sometimes I read the posts here and think back of the time when he was not by my side and how difficult it was and am so grateful that he's with me...it will happen for you soon, believe me....best of luck and remember we are/were all in your sitation...noone will understand you like us...your fellow vj'ers....

I know how you feel.. the whole process is torture.. I watch how USCIS processes these petitions and then comes up with some lame RFE 6 months later.. I want to cry for these couples. It's totally unfair and cruel.

It has been 6 months since I was with my wife.. Due to finances and work I won't see her until she arrives in America. We skype everyday but it's very difficult being apart. We are older so our time together will be limited.... Just keep the faith

Thats why I am not hoping for an RFE. I have prepared for everything possible. If I get a particular RFE I have cover sheets made up and scanned documents ready to go to be to be sent with the RFE overnight next day. Being proactive in this process really makes or breaks the timing for a lot of folks time frames.

I also find Skype more hurtful than helpful at times...it hurts that I am not able to touch or give my wife a hug or to just give her a small peck on the cheek.

I predominately phone her and she does me, every 2-3 weeks or so we skype, but mostly she's talking to my mom, dad and little to me as we talk on the phone almost everyday.

The waiting is so hard but everyday that passes is a day closer to when you will be together forever. When we started this process a year ago I NEVER thought I would survive the distance but we did and it made our relationship that much stronger. Hang in there :)

I totally agree with Dave and Kinnari. I too haven't seen my hubby for over 4 months and it feels like forever :crying: Just have to stay positive, hang in there and turn your frown upside down - Let's pray all of us will get over this very soon :star: :star:

I love when you said turn the frown upside down.. It made me think.. When we skype we laugh much.. My wife is comical with her actions and broken English. She taught herself English and its been about a year.. We both rarely use a translator..

when I try to speak her language she laughs so hard she is in tears.. Then she calls me her American #######.......

These are the good thoughts that keep you going forward......

I am in total agreement with you and I am one of the lucky ones that was able to visit my fiance a lot! I also speak to him everyday and that also helps! I have decided to throw a party for us and my family is going in august so getting things ready for that has both kept me and him occupied! Thank goodness for Tel3! Does anyone else know of a better minute provider and cheaper than them? If so can you please share. I have to call a cell phone. I also wanted to add that I think this long distance relationship has helped our relationship into a very open and well communicated one. I can't wait for him to be by my side but I have a lot of faith that my time will come soon. I am soooooo happy for everyone that good news keeps coming to them. I love hearing about it.
