Manchester by the Sea.

Unpopular opinion maybe: I wasn't blown away by Casey Affleck. He mostly looked annoyed-bored to be there.

As in, the movie overall. Same with Emma winning for La La Land, I wasn't super thrilled. Although I did

enjoy La La Land more, it's beautifully directed even if it lacked substance. 

 

Lion 

Dev Patel is an amazing actor. I really liked the story and how it developed, he felt truly connected to the

character he was portraying, and it being based in a real story moved me, especially at the ending. 

It reminded me a little bit of my Grandma's crazy story of having to move out of Cuba and leave

my uncle behind when he was a kid, then finding him 40 years later. 

 

Logan

I actually enjoyed it quite a lot. It's dark, gritty, it's the Wolverine that I've seen in the comics, one tormented by his past,

tired and quite possibly, more human that ever. The tiny wolverine girl is amaze-balls! I particularly thought she did

such a good job. It's a way better movie than the one before. 

 

Next:

Watching Moonlight this week, might go to the movies to catch a few more.

Zootopia is AWESOME.

the message is pretty clear right now, to be inclusive and not be afraid of those who are different than us, and even demonized/cast away  by society. To give them an opportunity. Trump should watch it  maybe he'll learn a thing or two. 

 

 

Moonlight: is everything people said it would be. I know many think it might be overhyped, but it takes a still very sensitive topic in society and I liked how it's pieced together.  

 

Hidden Figures: I truly enjoyed it! I actually shed a tear or two, and I wish it had more recognition during the Oscars. It has great acting and it's weirdly upbeat and lifts you up for such a yet sensitive, historical topic. I do recommend it.

Watched 'Security' with Antonio Banderas... mmm the way he slid across the floor, guns blazing muscles bulging,... puts 'Grey' in such a dim light... Sighhhhh lol  ps: its on Netflix ;-)
