Finally.

I've been nervously waiting for today. My fiancee had her interview on March 17th, in which she received the pink slip on the spot after seemingly a very short interview. She was then told to come back on the 25th to pick up visa, she showed up as scheduled only to receive a white slip. The white slip specifically asked for her criminal record, something she did have with her at the interview process but they never looked at it. This was very odd as I have never heard of such request after the pink slip was already given. She came back on the 28th to hand in the criminal record, after 3 hours of waiting they finally told her to come back today to pick up visa. She called me as soon as she got out of the consulate today to tell me she FINALLY GOT HER VISA!

Now that is is finally over with visa in hand, I would like to take this opportunity to thanks every individual that had helped answering my questions. I'm very grateful that I've found this place which make the process a lot easier and bearable. I'm leaving in a little over a week to see her and eventually bringing her over at the end of May. I'll make sure to stick around to return the help that I had received. Thanks again to everybody.

Another example of why to not get the airline tickets until it is in hand... Likely the made a clerical error at the time the pink was issued and forgot to put the police cert in the file... This sounds so similar to when Bernies wife had to go through Biometrics again after the pink had been issued... (fingerprint collection problems)

Most awesome of news Vince and God bless you both. It is a happy day. I have heard of this happening before as sometimes something gets misplaced and they need it to close the case and issue the visa. Also it would be awesome if you are able to come in and help out the newbies if at all possible. It is needed very much.
