Hi everyone! I just wanna ask if one meeting is okay to file the I-129F form? will there be any problem about that? me and my fiancee chatted for like 7months and its everyday on skype! =) and he came here last march 04,2011 ( his staying for 21days so it means his still here until friday hehe) but the question is will that be a problem? do you think they will suggest for meet ups? because for us we are pretty sure 100% we love each other so much and we both believe its enough for a proof =) and also does age dif matters a lot ???????? im 19 and his 30 so its like 11years older than me tho he feels and act like 18 haha! jk but anyways hope someone can answer my questions! thanks everyone and godbless

I don't think age matters. There are lots of people with age differences, and after all, if you're both over 18, they have no business telling you what age guy you can marry. For the k-1 visa, you just have to have met once in the past two years, so that should be fine. Just make sure you document proof on an ongoing relationship, and definitely document his visit (photos, plane tickets, etc). good luck!!!

May 2008- L is pushed into jagged rocks by a 12 ft wave while surfing in Chile. K saves her from certain watery death. Performs CPR and secretly enjoys it.

Sept 2008- L returns to the U.S. to finish school.

Dec 2008- K wins a surfing competition, uses prize money to buy L ticket to Chile.

Jan 2009- L visits K in Chile, 5 months pregnant!

April 2009- future world champion of surfing is born

Nov 2010- engaged!

Nov 28, 2010- petition sent

Dec 3, 2010- NOA 1

Dec 10, 2010- touched

May 6, 2011- NOA 2

May 17, 2011- sent to Embassy from NVC

In general, I would tell a person that age isn't a major factor.

In general, I would also tell a person that number of visits isn't a major factor.

However, when you start adding up these things together, you /may/ start raising questions.

You have three issues that I see:

--- 1. A high fraud country.

--- 2. A significant age difference

--- 3. A single visit

Make sure you document your relationship well and be prepared to answer questions.

is 30 really that old? haha! jk, yeah i understand what you mean and thank you! yes thats why right now we are both studying all that what we need to have it done correctly, i think if you are honest and your relationship is real u dont need to worry about interview questions coz u gotta answer just the question they ask you and if u know the person well enough u can answer it correctly ( tho i know it will be scary haha! but lets just think that its part of the process and their just doing their job ) but still it worries us, if he can afford to visit some more he will but his not rich or someone who can afford visit twice or more a year :( so the best way we see is just file for K1 visa incase we both love each other and wanna be with each other for the rest of our life :) bytheway we just got engaged last night it was so sweeettttttttttttt yepey! =)

FYI, the age difference you stated is not even a large difference for the Philippines and one visit is common in the Philippines. As long as your relationship is legit and you can show that you should have no problems.

There are 16 years of difference between me and my fiancè :) and I hope it wont be such a big deal.

I was questioned about that the last time I've visited him, the officer wanted to know "what we had in common" but I think (and hope) that such a shallow prejudice wont deny a strong relationship. I wouldn't worry too much about it hun

I think it is fine for you to file now, but it would be good if he could visit more during the process- say another visit while you are waiting, and then a third to be there for the interview.

thanks everyone who replied greatly appreciated!

one thing is he can't afford to visit more his not rich haha! it will take many months to earn them money so thats why it took us 7months to meet for the first time lol ( but it helped a lot coz u know who is who u are meeting and it gives u all information and idea about each other so u pretty much know who u are going to be with ) will that be a problem if he cant come more than once? (this visit?) thanks a lot guys

One visit meets the requirement. There are people who have been approved with only one meeting. But, more meetings are better and will give you a better chance of getting approved.

11 years age difference is not a big deal at all, also one single visit is depends on the country, country such as Dominican Republic or Haiti with a single trip will most likely earn you a denial. I know two people that has been denied due to insufficient trip (a single trip).

And you guys look beautiful together, nice picture!!!
