You are SO welcome :P

They didn't even question the amounts or anything written on the sheet. Never asked for proof of the half a mil + life insurance policy either.

i posted a question earlier today but it never made it I am assuming. This form I-134 Affidavit of Support is a clear as mud sometimes. The question I have pertains to the second page number 7. It states, "I have other personal property, the reasonable value of which is?? What gets me is the "other personal property" part of the sentence. What do they consider "other personal property?"

Something that is worth a large sum that could be sold very quickly to meet/surpass the poverty guideline requirements. Of course with that if you are using it to meet/surpass requirements you will most likely need evidence eg: such as a piece of land with its current notarized appraisal. Expensive cars/boats/RVs. Store merchandise, business property.

Hi guys

I'm struggling to get my head around this form. I've read all the instructions but I'm just in need of some clarification.

Can someone who has completed this form please let me know the evidence they submitted to support their form.

This is our last step and i just want to make super sure that we have everything.

Thanks guys

My short answer is that if your income is clearly sufficient, leave ALL the asset questions blank and only document your income. A tax complete tax return or tax return transcript of three and a couple recent pay stubs will do you. Skip all the headaches associated with assets. They aren't needed and don't help if your income is enough.

I wrote a London specific explanation in THIS DOCUMENT. It's on about the sixth page.

Agree with Pushbrk, if the income is enough, skip the assets. They won't even look at them in London.

Hi ALL!!! I am currently 4 and half months into my K1 visa

I have called the uscis and customer service line for this question...and they say the information is included on the form 156 and 134. But I can not find. I need your help so I can stop this search. First the person I spoke to at customer service did not even consider my question just read from a script. so Aggrevating. So someone who can give me a straight answer is much appreciated.

I am self employed and i need to know:

1) are they looking at my ADJUSTED GROSS INCOME or MY GROSS income amount?

2) If i get a cosponsor(my mother) is it our incomes combined they look at? (We would together have to make enough for 4 people)

3) if my mom is to be a co sponsor will she need to fill out the form 134 also? or is there another form?

I know there may be other people on here asking these questions..but I cant seem to find these subjects or topics in particular..anyone that can answer these directly would be SOOOOO appreciated!!!!

In all cases, they are looking at line 22 of the 1040. For the self employed, that is also what you state as your "current income", line 22 of the most recent tax return. An exception would be you add any non-taxable income like Social Security or most if not all Military Retirement or Disability benefits. If you have such other income, document it with benefit or award statements.

This is the place to post your experiences or questions related to this last step before moving to the US. Topics relating to I-134's, packets sent from consulate and medical & police certificates should be posted here.
