Attempting early biometrics tomorrow at Raleigh, NC. Does my husband need to bring anything besides passport and drivers license? Also, will I be allowed in with him?

Hi Peter'n'Jaime,

I've not been to Raleigh office but they don't allow anyone else with the applicant at Charlotte location. In fact, when I went with my mom last November, there was another couple there with few months old baby. The woman was an applicant and the security person told the couple that the man can take the baby since no one is allowed with the applicant. On the other hand, since my mom did not speak English very well, I was allowed to sit down with her for a bit to help her fill out forms.

In short, ff you've to take a day off from work or something, maybe it's not worth it. If you are free, you can try to go and see if they let you in with your spouse.

Sorry about that. Chicago ASC doesn’t allow early walk-in Biometrics at all. Daughter and I were also rejected last year when we tried to get our Bio done just one week before of our original date. They told me that they admit people that missed their original appointment but never before the date assigned to you, even if the office is empty. They are extremely strict about it.

You must have your green card with you as well.

Our Visa Journey

07/29/07 ---- Mailed I-129F

08/25/07 --- Check finally cashed (8/27 I should be able to see the R number on the back).

08/27/07 --- NOA1 Arrives from CSC and I create my account profile on the USCIS.Gov web-site (the clock starts)!!!

02/05/08 --- After 191 days NOA2 (Approval) comes at last!!!!

2/14/08 --- NVC sends letter saying that it's on the way to the US Embassy in Bangkok

2/25/08 --- She receives Packet 3 from the Embassy

3/29/08 --- She receives Packet 4 with interview date (July 11th).

3/30/08 --- I e-mail the Embassy asking to make the date earlier because I've already got our tickets for June 13th!!!

5/6/08 --- No help from the Embassy. Rebooked tickets and vacation till September.

5/21/08 --- Embassy calls her and moves interview to May 27th!!!!! You have got to be kidding me!!!

9/21/08 --- POE San Francisco!!!!

12/8/08 --- Married!!!!

12/15/08 --- Mail AOS + AP + EAD package to Chicago

12/28/08 --- Come back from vacation and find AOS/AP/EAD NOA 1 and Bio App notices in the mailbox!!!

4/22/09 --- AOS Interview "APPROVED"!!!

3/04/2011 --- OUR BABY IS BORN... We have a son!!!!!

Why does USCIS classified our case as CRI89 on their website instead of I-751? Anyone. What does CRI89 means?

It is just their internal reference for the I-751. It is noted on the bottom of the I-751 receipt notice that " The I-751 form type will be listed as "CRI89" under application type in our case status on-line tool."

Getting little anxious about biometrics appointment letter, it's going to be 3 weeks from NOA1 tomorrow and still no letter. I hope I see it in the mail soon.

When you get your Biometrics appointment letter can you also let the April thread know? This way we know how long to wait.

Getting little anxious about biometrics appointment letter, it's going to be 3 weeks from NOA1 tomorrow and still no letter. I hope I see it in the mail soon.

called again USCIS about oath ceremony letter :09/13/2012 (got locaton an time on phone thanks God)

Finally received oath ceremony letter:09/19/2012(was sent on 09/17/2012)

Oathe Ceremony was on: 09/21/2012 at 8:00am (little Rock, Arkansas)

Finally I am U.S. Citizen
