So I called the 800 number today. I called about a week ago and just got the person reading a script, the date they gave for what they are working on? July 24th. The woman today was a little less like a robot which was nice, but she said something that I found very surprising. "since the estimated times to process petitions is an estimate, the case may or may not be adjudicated within that time, and at any time, if the priorities of the service center need to be focused in a different area, that can delay the processing of other cases." then she told me they were processing petitions from July 24th.

So basically, I got someone who told me that they will shift focus to different types of petitions if they feel the need. So that should be confirmation for all of you that they did shelve our petitions to work on those Haitian visas. Oh well, I'm glad those people were able to get out of the crappy situation they were in, I'll wait to keep people from dying.

The priorities of the Service Center? The needs of the state? What kind of ####### is this?

What happened to the needs of the citizens?

Or are we truly in George Orwell's 1984?

What petitions are they processing? Not any of ours, that's for sure.

There's plenty of people dying in China and every other developing country too I don't see them getting special treatment. Plenty of money in Europe and Japan let them help the Haitians.

Why should the EU or Japan bother? They spend their money on their own citizens while we spend ours on everyone EXCEPT our own citizens.

I think the point is, why does the United States have to be the savior of the world when other big money countries can't be bothered?

Not much of a point though seeing as how we're not talking theories and politics, people are really dying, and people really need help. I don't see the wrongness of us giving help to people. US citizens aren't worth more as people than non-US citizens. Whether or not other countries are "not bothering" is unrelated in my opinion.

Do I hate waiting? Seeing as I'm over 5 1/2 months right now, hell yeah I hate it. But I'm also proud of my country for caring for Haitian people as well. I think the real solution is having more funding for the service centers to hire more adjudicators. The federal government already wastes billions of dollars on useless grants and studies, why can't they actually put some tax money to good use. That way, we can all get processed in a reasonable amount of time without having things like TPS visas getting in the way.

If you are past the 5 month mark, call back, ask for an ISO ..

whilst yer at it, use the advanced search tool here - search on my name, and 'ISO' as the search term -

you'll see a link that is useful to study.

Why an ISO, you ask? an ISO sees the actual status of the adjudication process of the casefile, on his/her computah screen.

The drone that answered the phone, talked to you a bit, doesn't have that access.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I already Emailed them, and put in the requests to my senators, so I'll give them a chance to redeem themselves for now. I'm headed off to Ukraine tomorrow for a week, if they've not approved the petition by the time I get back, I'm gonna try to get a 2nd tier.

Before you leave, call the 2nd tier first so when you back hopefully you have something. Our timeline almost close. That was what my fiance did. At least today we got news from them on the phone that we get RFE.

California are rocking (more approvals today and well into clearing August)

Vermont are knocking - calling them daily now. still on July 24th (has been for 7 days).

have 2 congressmen and one senator chasing them.

some info came out on the phone yesterday talking to the Senator's office.

but his staff is calling the director on Thursday morning for clarification.

Apparently the appropriations committee are hungry for information

pertaining mis-management of government resources, taking

service away from tax paying citizens and giving it away to illegals.

Even the President who implemented the policy that is killing us tax payers

will be powerless when they yank his funding for his management of resources.

money and votes are power in Washington and we have some new sheriffs in town

there who want real service for the tax payers. As one of them recently said:

"America is broke, why do we keep giving our country away and taxing the

citizens to pay for it?"

I urge all of you July filers and august filers to write to your congressmen to

get this incipient policy changed that is crushing the staff at Vermont.

It is political people and it was handed down by the President and his state dept.

he's not getting my vote in 2012....................I pay my taxes,

and I am not a government burden, and I do not ask for very much in return.

Check out this thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/292385-my-complaint-to-house-appropriations-about-vsc/

Check out my letter i it. It is going to my Congress Member today. He has 2 weeks to make something happen with it or I will send it to every member of the Appropriations Committee. The more of us send it, the more attention it will get.

Again, vitriol towards Haitians. If you based your arguments in actual facts rather than your misguided emotional ramblings I would be more sympathetic towards you.

I have no vitrol against Haitians. My vitrol is against having resources that I paid for and that I need to bring my fiance home where she belongs forcibly taken from me to give to another race of people in the name of charity.

Charity should be a choice, not something rammed down my throat and causing my fiance to suffer because of it.
