So... in little over two hours, my fiance' and I will be heading over to Bronx County Courthouse to... GET MARRIED! :D:dance: :dance: :D Of course, no little girl dreams about the day when she will tie the knot at Bronx County Courthouse, surrounded by ex-cons, drug-dealing baby-daddies and their pregnant teenagers, and the stuffy air and bad lighting of a government building (esp. in The Bronx). But... off we go and I'm actually REALLY EXCITED!!!! :dance:

I think this will encourage us to actually plan a nice family wedding sometime in the future, held someplace that doesn't smell :thumbs:

The other (very predictable) thing is that I have completely broken out with acne -- I never really get pimples, but I have so many right now that my face actually hurts lol. I have an arsenal of foundation and consealor and blush and silent prayer with which I will try and hide them as best as I can.

Okay, I have to go shower ... no one wants a dirty bride lol :D

8/18/2006: Social Security Card arrives

8/25/2006: WEDDING!

AOS...

9/11/2006: Appointment with Civil Surgeon for vaccination supplement

9/18/2006: Mailed AOS and renewal EAD applications to Chicago

10/2/2006: NOA1's for AOS and EAD applications

10/13/2006: Biometrics taken

10/14/2006: NOA -- case transferred to CSC

10/30/2006: AOS approved without interview, greencard will be sent! :)

11/04/2006: Greencard arrives in the mail! :-D

... No more USCIS for two whole years! ...

THat's funny only bc on the day of my wedding I was all broken out as well...never really had been before. Maybe it's stresS??

I know it will be great. it's not about where or how...but with whom :) YOu're marrying the guy of your dreams so enjoy it!!! I hope it goes wonderfully!!! and post pics when you can!

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

Just think, most people have a lovely, same ol' same ol' wedding. YOU meanwhile could get some great stories to tell the grandkids out of this one.

11/14/2006 AOS packet made it to 'the box' after being overnighted.

12/02/2006 Paul had biometrics

12/14/2006 AOS Forwarded to CSC AND AP Application approved.

01/17/2007 First touch of 2007 at CSC

01/20/2007 Touched AGAIN (also the 18th) come on...

February: Oops, RFE for a REGISTERED marriage certificate. Oops! Overnighted it.

02/28/2007 Paul gets email letting us know his GREENCARD is on it's way! It's done...for now!

03/09/2007 Paul's greencard arrives. And breathe...

We began with mailing the I-129 in on February 27, 2006 so the whole process took us approx. one year.
