I use skype to call my wife, from home using my laptop or everywhere is a WiFi internet connection using my Nokia E72 that allow you to call true the internet(have VOIP integrated) . The cost of the phone call is 2 € cents/minute is very cheap. This is the reason of using it. I bought skype credit and use it all the time. Calling is so easy at this price and I have the possibility to talk with my wife daily when she is not working. Also text messages from skype are 9 € cents. Glad that I have discovered skype few years ago.

I wish my husband had access to the internet and that phone calls weren't 50cents a minute. He recently mailed me a passport sized photo of him which was the first time I saw him in a year.

There are internet cafes there - but maybe he is out on one of the smaller islands.

I actually prefer FTF communication that is sometimes nonverbal. (Who doesn't? But that wasn't an option in this poll.) My wife, however, has this habit of needing to disappear from time to time to see her family-of-origin way over there. Its reasonable and, even if I don't like it, it is part of what I agreed to during courtship. At that time, its daily phone calls that keep us connected.
