I felt that way too...from watching the vid, one doesn't know if the father took off the shirt as a way to just shut them up, but at the end of the day, for me it's the turning point in lunacy that 7 year olds are being patted down.

Not really... some people are truly vile and use kids as mules... i suppose it's actually good that they're patting down kids because it makes it less likely that people will start using kids like this in order to beat the pat-downs.

I've got to admit. This is all pretty scary because a line has been crossed. Even if you feel the current methods are okay, we definitely crossed a threshold here that may lead down a slope...you can decide how slippery it is...but it is a slope.

Does anybody but the dumbest of the dumb really think that strip searching a child and taking away his slurpy or getting a white-haired grandma out of her wheelchair has anything to do with deterring terrorists?

If I were a terrorist and wanted to do harm to the United States and I have a valid visa to the US (first point where they could do better!), I would find much easier ways. I don't need explosives on board. Once inside the US, there are trains, water supplies, all kinds of stuff where more people would die than in a single airplane. Supplies I can ship via UPS, easily.

All the stuff the TSA does is Government-imposed theatre; it's an ongoing attempt to continue the dummification of We the People and to pretend that the Government does something, but it's all for nothing.

I always thought that getting rid of USCIS once and for all is the main reason why I wanted to become a US citizen, but the longer I have to endure these human rights violations all over the board, the more I realize I wish nothing more than vote the guy out of office who took my money and betrayed my trust so bluntly.

I guess I'm the dumbest of the dumb then because yes, I think it's valid. You're assuming terrorists are normal, they're not.

First the TSA agent DID NOT strip search the child, the childs PARENT took of his shirt, that is quite clearly explained in the vid text. Not to mention taking off ones shirt does not constitute a "strip search" (in my opinion). Strip search means naked or mostly naked (undergarments are sometimes left on).

The grandmothers wheelchair has many hollow locations where things could be hidden therefore it needs to go through the xray machine and/or be checked at some stage.

Do I think it's likely people will blow up a plane? Not really unless someone "important" is on board, it doesn't do much except incite the fear the last lot of plane hijackings caused but like I said, terrorists are not normal, people who kill animals to get their jollies off are not normal. I'm okay with all this security, I like knowing my plane is less likely to be hijacked, but with every security measure increase the criminals get smarter and find ways around it so yeah, they use kids and grandmas as mules (knowingly or unknowingly) because people like YOU are appalled at such behaviour and rant and rave about it making it less likely these mules would be caught because the TSA agent is worried about inciting a riot for searching "the greying grandma" or "innocent child".

I'm more irritated with the need to remove my laptop from it's bag. It's always a HUGE pita and I saw one guy think his had been stolen 'cause the TSA agents moved it to go through again without telling him so he was completely freaking out. They moved one of MY bags off the belt (stupid me left something in there I shouldn't) and didn't say anything to me, or look for the bags owner or anything. i was just left standing there waiting and wondering. It delayed me a lot and really ticked me off but it was my fault i suppose so I'll double check my on-board next time.

Oversimplfying would be calling Nazi tactics when they stopped letting people into the airport without a boarding pass. It's gotten far beyond that.

There are plenty of freedoms we had 10 years ago that have been washed away in the past decade alone.

Nazi Germany didn't form overnight, nor did any other oppresive government.

It takes time. It takes several incidents, and it takes an easily convinced public after said incidents. Sometimes it's on purpose, sometimes it's accidental, but it's a natural thing to happen.

Even the founding fathers of this nation knew how fragile the freedom we have was to the mind of man. How it could all be washed away by those who had a true lack of understand and how we could let fear rule us. As I said, those who understand little of history are doomed to repeat it.

They already look at you naked through a 'machine' - they already touch the #######(s) during the pat down process. What really makes you think they'll stop there?

I knew all of this was coming a year ago when a news report came out about women and bomb breast implants. I said then that they'd be doing these pat downs soon enough here. HERE - not overseas where this happens, HERE. Pay attention to where the incidents in the past year alone have taken place. Hell, they blame the underwear bomber for the current screenings. Where did that take place? Overseas, not HERE. Pay attention. Why are you sacrificing your freedoms for things happening elsewhere?

When is enough, enough? Are you ok with a TSA agent sticking their finger inside of you? Completely groping and giving your breasts a squeeze? Are you ok with having to strip down naked to walk through a detector still and then being probed? Because that is where this is going.

People do not know how to stop until they are forced into stopping. The more you give, the more they'll take.
