K-3 Approved, I-130 cancelled?

Hi,

I'm currently in the U.S. on a K3 visa. We have already adjusted status, and everything has gone smoothly.

A few days ago, we received a letter in the foreign country titled "Notice of termination of registration". This letter indicated that our immigrant visa has been canceled.

Is this something we should be worried about? I think this is for the I-130 immigrant visa, but I've been living here in the U.S. for almost two years now (came over on a non-immigrant visa), and have a green card.

Not quite sure what that means. If you've already adjusted status I wouldn't worry about it.

If you've already adjusted status, why would you need an immigrant visa?

I wouldn't worry about it as long as you have the green card

The I-130 was not cancelled. The Immigrant Visa process was. No problem. You already immigrated and adjusted status based on the approved I-130.

Okay thanks to all for your responses. I won't worry about it. I've tried calling the visa center for some time now #(603-334-0700), but i continue to get a busy signal. I emailed them a while back but no response yet. I'm guessing they are busy lately.

So my 2 years are coming up soon. Do you guys know what forms I need to fill out for the 2 year mark? The interviewer mentioned some forms I needed to fill out after living here for two years. Any info on that would be helpful. Thanks again.

K-3 visa holders are required to file the Adjustment of Status 'package' within 2 years of arrival,

not

'at 2 years'.

You can delay filing this for 2 years, max.

I've already did AOS. I'm just confused about this part:

"*If your interview (and specifically the approval) occurs within 2 years of your marriage you will be granted a conditional permanent residency (2 year validity). If this happens you will have to apply to lift conditions 90 days prior to your 2 year green card expiring. If you are 'adjusted' greater than 2 years after you were married you should receive a normal 10 year green card."

So I think we were granted a conditional permanent residency. My question is, what steps do I need to take now? Our green card is getting close to the expire date (within 90 days). Thanks again.

You need to file your removal of conditions ASAP. There is a whole forum for your questions
