Happy November 1st MENA!!

Yes Olivia, you called it right about mixing up the decorations in the yard. Thanks to hubby, I had both Halloween and Christmas lights up. All I had missing was the blown up turkey.....:blush: Oh wait I might come home today and find it up....

I hope everyone had a restfull weekend! I had so much fun at the party Saturday night I didn't want it to end! Oh well...back to the grind!

Terrie...glad to see you posting and that's great about the post divorce date!!! Get out and have fun!!

07/28/11 USCIS cashed check

07/30/11 Recieved NOA1 and Biometrics letter

08/24/2011 Biometrics

08/25/2011 RFE sent to us for some info we've already sent in

08/30/2011 sent in the rest of info USCIS asked for

09/13/2011 went to congressman's office to sign papers for expedite of work permit, due to financial hardship

09/15/2011 Work permit expedite approved!! He can finally find a job!

09/24/2011 work permit arrives

09/26/2011 Apply for social security number!

09/30/2011 Letter is sent for interview

11/07/2011 INTERVIEW!!!

Its 2012 and still no approval! Still waiting

01/27/2012 Letter sent stating that file was sent on for more review :(

Biryani is not a Yemeni dish. It started from Iran (Persian) and it moved to different countries. My mom’s family who lived in Basra, Iraq used to do the best biryani full of hot spices and curry because we were close neighbor to Iran. Also not to mention we had an Iranian maid who was a pro with Persian food.

Now my dad’s families are from north of Iraq and the biryani there takes on different route that is not much spicy like the one in south. I had biryani at different countries and best who master it well are, Persian, Indian and Iraqis, others are just imitation of a biryani.

I make it almost every other week, and husband like it cause I make it like the southern part of my country, hot/ Spicy.

Good Morning MENA! I hope everyone is doing good. I haven't been on because I moved to a different house in a different city and changed internet companies. Love my new house. It has hardwood floors all through it. No more keeping carpets clean. Doing good, new kitten who at this moment is on my desk wanting me to pet her instead of type. I am looking for a job. Not finding very many really not even a gas station has called me back. Not sure what that is all about. Anyway, Happy Tuesday.

Going to be another beautiful day with temps to reach 86.

Hard to believe it's November. Love this time of the year with all the

holidays back to back. Wael looks forward to turkey and all the trimmings!

Happy Wednesday MENA!!! Hello ladies and Charles!!! I pray everyone will have a great Wednesday :thumbs: I don't have any pictures of any camels.. speaking of camels.. they have camel rides at the Birmingham Zoo for 5.00... but I think it's just for the kids though :crying: I was petrified when I got on a camel in Egypt.. :blink: ... everyone have a great day :thumbs:

good morning mena! Happy Hump day! I actually love camels. I collect them! I never saw one in Morocco but when I went to Arab World Fest here, Jackie and I rode one! It was pretty cool.
