Hi MENA peeps. I see there is a lot of good news these days. So glad to hear that everyone is doing well. I try to get on at least once a week to catch up on everything but between working full-time, being in school for my PhD and the pregnancy.........life is busy. Cant wait til xmas break so that I will have a break from work and classes. Betsy, that's awesome about your husband getting his teaching certificate to teach Arabic. Are there many K-12 schools that offer Arabic? I saw that you mentioned something about ESL. I actually teach ESL for K-5 and he would have to get a separate certification to be able to teach it or he could just add it on to his current teaching license.

I am so excited about Black Friday. I know that might seem strange to some but I love shopping and the excitement of it all on that day. Everyone take care and keep the good news coming.

I'm up early bcz I cant sleep anymore! Today we sign for the house! The only thing is it might be days before we start living in it bcz its going to be raining for days and I work all afternoon/night for the next 5 days.

Happy Friday! Congrats Tamara on the house. I remember the day I closed on mine 5 yrs ago, I was a nervous wreck! But it was so worth it!!! I love my home, small as it maybe its perfect for one maybe 2 or 3 people.

Nancy Congrats on the pregnancy!

Black Friday was a favorite day for me to shop, but this year there is no money to shop as I'm laid off! Ah well, just ask well!

Everyone have a good weekend. Today is cold and cloudy, a good day to stay in bed and thats just what i may do!

09/13/2011 went to congressman's office to sign papers for expedite of work permit, due to financial hardship

09/15/2011 Work permit expedite approved!! He can finally find a job!

09/24/2011 work permit arrives

09/26/2011 Apply for social security number!

09/30/2011 Letter is sent for interview

11/07/2011 INTERVIEW!!!

Its 2012 and still no approval! Still waiting

01/27/2012 Letter sent stating that file was sent on for more review :(

I am just looking forward to this weekend. My son and I are going to drive over to Tampa to visit my daughter and son in law for the weekend. YAY! 4.3% interest, no down payment and the only thing I had to pay at closing was $40.76! Amazing! We just got home from putting some small stuff over there. Tomorrow we are getting the fridge and stove! I'll be taking pictures soon and posting facebook!

Happy Caturday MENA!!! Hello ladies and Charles :luv: ..been away for a minute.. I pray everyone is well (L) anyway this morning I ordered my first set of mizmar... I can't wait to play them.. I have a flute, clarinet, cello, trombone, 2 keyboards and recorder.. I did have a cornet but it has air leaks :crying: I talked to habibi's sister yesterday online and asked her did she know I played music.. she said no :crying::wacko::blink::angry: I mean after ALL this time one would think he would have told them.. I even left a tape of music that was inspired by God that I played.. I left it there in 2007.. he NEVER listened to it but at least he brought it back... he told them I sing.. I just asked him what are my children's middle names.. he doesn't know although I told him :blink: I pray we are not called for an interview.. we would fail miserably and it's not my fault.. all I can say is wow :wow::wow::help::(

One talented lady!!! Ohh hon, perhaps he just has too many things on his mind. Every so often gently remind him of the things he perhaps forgot!

Happy Moanday Mena! All is ok here. Its cold here so it looks like winter is setting in. Thank God we didn't get the snow that Minnesota and Iowa got!

Hey to everyone else that wonders through!!

The weekend was great even though it was so short. I guess I missed hubby more than he missed me. He only called me one time the whole time I was gone and that was to see when will I get back home cause he's hungry!!!:angry: I told him I would be back in time before the store closed!

My son in law is building up his own photography business and he used my son as a model this weekend. He made some really great pictures! I want one of the family for Christmas but of course I can't get everyone in the same room at the same time!!:bonk:

Hi Jeanne, Terrie & Andrea! Andrea nice pictures. Jeanne poor Wael!

Today is my Friday! Eid Mubarak to all my Muslim friends on here. Dh is off from the hospital today and he and his BIL will be going where ever they go to kill a sheep. I am happy he gets to spend his first big EID with his family here though I miss him.

Next week is Thanksgiving and I haven't even thought about. I'm already Christmas shopping and all the Christmas decorations are in the stores as if we just skipped Thanksgiving and went straight to Christmas this year. They started playing Christmas music this year right after Halloween! I know it's 1/3 of our economy but I didn't expect it to start a month earlier this year. I guess they really want us to spend our average $900 on 12 people this year.
