Hellooo!!! I am super happy to say we were APPROVED!! It was so fast, we were out of the embassy by 8:35AM (our appointment was at 8am but got there at 7:20am).

I thought we were going to be taken into a different private room for the interview, but it was actually the same way they do with tourist visas, you talk to someone on the other side of the glass. Anyway we were first "interviewed" by a local (Nica) employee, she gathered all of our documents and said I was missing the 2 passport photos, I freaked, but she immediately looked in the folder that the NVC sent and she found the 2 I had sent to them, so she said not to worry. THEN, she said there had been inconsistencies with the documents signed by the Town Hall so they were taking only the ones issued by the National Registry which got me confused because the ones we have are the official ones and they say "Extract of the Registry" anyway then she said she would take them...

She asked:

How we met?

When did we start a relationship?

When did we get married?

Did his family come to the wedding?

Does he send money?

How often does he send it?

How many trips has he made after we got married?

Then she took our wedding pics, skype records, yahoo chats, money gram receipts, and my passport, she told us to sit down until we were called again. A few minutes later we were called by the US consul, a young blonde and very beautiful woman. She was very sweet and kept smiling at us. She asked the same questions, and almost immediately she asked if I swore everything on the DS-230 was true, I said yes I swear, and then she said "Congratulations! Your visa has been approved!"

It was such a relief and we kissed right away!! I pick up my passport on my birthday, Oct 29th, we're having a church ceremony to bless our relationship on Oct 30th, and we fly to Chicago on Nov 1st! POE will be Houston. I can only say THANK YOU LORD, we prayed so long and hard for this.

I also want to thank our fellow VJ members for making this journey easier!

Wohooooo Your new Journey is about to begin NICA!!! So wonderful that everything went well for you God is so good!! Congratulations may you always be this happy!!! God bless you both!!
