Wish i could be of help.:innocent:

Do update this forum on your next steps as there are no old VJ F4 members who can provide their Interview experiences.

Luck..? Why luck..??? Yhe goood thing is the category is F4... certainly easier to get an approval theny ANY Spousal Visa......!!! The officer will not ask near as much qestions. The visa comes pre-approved.

You can expect basic questons.. i'm gonna say few questions about the sponsor.... about the applicant... like have you ever travelled to the usa etc..

When they are checking and validating the 'spousal' persons close to the heart..!!..:bonk:

then 'Big Brother' does not have any soft corner for the siblings and are placed at F4 category for nearly 10 yrs..

Uday

Any Updates on your case?

Sorry for late reply,i was out of town for PCC.Getting PCC from old city where you used to live is extremely difficult; As my father was a banker and he had postings all over the state. The police persons took ₹ 7,000 for making PCC of my father from his birth city.

We have completed everything and will be sending the documents right away.

Thanks

Hi all,

I have a question, my friend wants to file a petition for her brother to bring him to usa, she asked me about what she needs to do, so I came here and saw the guides but when I checked the processing time for vermont center i was really chocked because it said it takes 5 months for a petition for a brother/ sister to be processed, i thought that f4 visas are taking years, does this mean that her brother can get his visa in less than a year? please help me understand, thanks

that's only the first form, the i130, it can take 5 months or it can take longer. the waiting times comes after the approved i130 is sent to the NVC, the center that takes care of cases that will go through consular processing. they'll file it until the priority date becomes current, which takes years.

Hi all,

aleful is correct.. For 4th preference (siblings of adult citizens), they are working presently on cases with priority date of January 2002 as of next month, so a wait of almost 9 years from filing. If it goes at the same speed and with the proposal for Electronic Processing, it seems to be speeding up right now. So, it is better to file early..:star:

Just to say HI to all the F4s here.

My sister applied for me and our younger sister in August 2010, so we still have a long time to wait (hopefully the bulletin will keep moving along in coming months).

Wishing you all patience with the process :)

I was told to post here, my F4 Visa case:

I currently live in Canada with my parents and my uncle has sponsored my dad for permanent U.S. immigration. My uncle is doing F4 Visa, for brother/sister. My dad got the VISA approval this past September, but no VISA's available yet because of too many applicants.

I'm curious to know, if my dad gets sponsored, will he get his Green Card right away? Or will we have to wait a few more years after he's landed, to get his Green Card/LPR? Apparently, this will affect if I'm able to immigrate with my dad at the same time.

Again, here are the dates:

Petition date: April 2003

Petition approval: August 2009

Date that my dad received VISA Number: (Unknown)

My date of birth: August 1988

P.S. I know I'm 22 right now and would be considered an adult, but under the Child Protection Status Act, I could be still considered a child when the VISA number becomes available.
