My fiance and I have been talking for over 2 years now. As most of you know here, we talk on line more than emails, and have talked virtually twice a day everyday for all this time. I know we will print out all our emails. But, to print out all our talking... whew. it will be volumes (even if we edit personal things)

We have been approved and our paperwork is on its way to NVC. I know I need to update letter of intent, I-134, etc. When I sent in the paperwork, I selected random talkings, printed it out and took a screen shot of all the others, saying all the others are availalble if necessary for addtional evidence. What would be most appropriate. Perhaps random from the date of sending paperwork and screen shot of the folders of talking? I think it will take reams of paper...(smile)

Thanks

Barry

Good Question Barry as I have done the same thing essentially. For me to save and print all of our IM conversations would be volumes also with editing. I even wanted to get phone records but I call a lot using Yahoo and Skpe and there are no records I know of. I do have some emails from 2006 which I submitted and I am planning on being there for the interview. I feel that will lend a lot of credibility with me traveling half way around the globe to be at my fiancee's side!

Nope, I don't use it. But is there any way to see all the calls you've made, and then do a screen cap? You can do that in Skype (as an alternative to that exporter), so I don't know if Yahoo voice has a similar screen.

Yahoo IM is done by doing a screenshot.. printscreen and then pasting to a word document....

It is possible to submit too much evidence...

This may explain why I say it is possible to submit too much...

Another idea that was suggested to me is to print every first of the month, or every first five days of the months over the years. That's a good sample that looks objective.

That is pretty much what I did with the talking since January and did a screen capture of all the talking. Since yahoo stores all the talking on the computer being used and my older laptop went down, earliest I had was Sept 09. Really, I thought a little would be good, I don't think they would read two years worth of talking either. Also, I use my cell phone. I call her to let her know I am online. It is a little too expensive to talk on her home phone or her cell. We talk quite a bit. But I only use my cell and I can print out all the calls, to and from, monthly. I also gave her a Majic Jack (works good). I printed out all the phone calls and highlighted all that were between us. (smile) Even I didn't know we talked so much. haha. But, a continuing relationship, yes it is obvious. I will print out all the calls for the months since I did the last one and include it in the package I sent her. I do have another question though. Here it says to send all the originals to her for her interview. Is that a good idea? I plan on sending her a packet of copies of all that I maintain in my posession.

This is a good topic, since I just registered here and am in the beginning stages of this whole process. My fiance and I have been friends for at least four years. She used to live here, still has a house. We had planned to marry, but she was denied entry coming back into the states a while back since her travel parole papers had expired. She has a ss card, can work here legally, etc, but couldn't re-enter due to that one thing. So, she's back in India and the government treats it like she never lived here, paid taxes for 9 years, and worked in the tech field for american auto companies since she moved here.

I'm looking forward to learning more about this process that we've been thrown into. We have lots of email, phone records, and pics from before - especially from the trip I just got back from meeting her family, friends and visiting sights around the country. I would "think" we have enough evidence of a relationship, but you never know. I just want to make sure what I do submit is the best of what they will be looking for.

Needless to say, I'm very happy to find this forum and not have to pay $6k+ for some attorney to "maybe" get her back her in a timely manner.

Ecuador filers, for example, would do very well indeed to front-load their petitions heavily with "evidence of bona fide relationship." Other consulates could be similar. Read the "Embassy Info" & "Embassy Reviews" for your consulate, paying particular attention to the worst-case reports. That can help to guide your decision on what to include, and how much of it.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
