interview is over. they kept his passport. stated mandatory administrative processing. they do not need any more documents from us. they wondered why we had so many in the first place. didn't look at any additional documents other than the extra photos on top of the 150 originally submitted.

questions:

1. when did you get married

2. what is your wife's name

3. where did you meet?

4. why do you know longer work for the same company

5. why did you have such a small wedding

6. who are the people in the photographs

then he received the piece of paper stating we have retained your passport so we can issue your visa. you are under administrative processing and we will issue the visa once the processing is complete.

the officer is stating no more than 2 weeks. i am not a fool, i know this is just a blanket statement. besides name background checks, do you know what else they could be looking for?

thanks everyone for your well-wishes. we couldn't have gotten this far without you. glad there was not a 221g this time.

Hang in there and be strong. The wait can be frustrating and seem endless but at least you were given good news. We were given a 221g and it said the same, wait and do nothing. I went and talked to a consular staff member last Tuesday and I was able to get an explanation of what is going on. They would not tell my fiancee but I guess my presence and the way I presented myself was enough to get them to go a little further. We are waiting for fingerprints my fiancee resubmitted to be approved. The first set from the interview was not of sufficient quality when transmitted to the USA. Now we have been waiting for one week so I know how frustrating it is. They told us dont worry we are approved, just waiting on ok from USA in the fingerprints but no one can tell us how long it will take. I'll go back to the consulate tomorrow to ask. Hang in there and GOOD LUCK!!! Happy New Year!

thank you soo much. on the hour and a half of sleep, i remembered 3 more questions.

7. where do your wife's parents live?

8. are they divorced?

9. why did no one from her side attend the wedding?

i am so proud of my husband, he knew the answers to all of the questions, and was ready for an explanation to everything.

CONGRATULATIONS, SISTER K!!!!!!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
