I moved to the philippines in march 2009

I work online and get by okay. Im also planning on getting into some exporting soon.

I strongly advise against the k-1, unless you establish a history together IN PERSON

most people are too smart to heed the warning...

but you have been warned.

Doesn't matter if you do a fiance visa or a spouse visa in PI. NO ONE can spent very much time with their mate until they unit in the US.

Thing is a LOT of relationships are "successfull". Sure some aren't but also a LOT of USCs marrying USCs aren't either.

I can't give you what qualifies as a successfull marriage. By American standards "maybe" still married and content after 2 years?

Mine's been over 4 years and we are still content.

First time we met in person and married in 3 weeks!

"a newt???"

"I got better..."

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

yeah, good advice. But my wife is from Ukraine, it wouldn't have worked for me to move to the Phillipines.
