How did you welcome your fiance home?

Well, we met for a long weekend in NYC immediately after his POE, so he didn't really have *that* long of a flight. Also, as it was just a week before the wedding, the best man traveled with him, so......we went to an Irish Pub for lunch. Ha!

We then stayed at my parents' for the rest of the week before the wedding (their extra guest rooms + neighbors with guest houses meant all his family and all my family could all be together), so there were only brief visits "home"

After all the people left after the wedding we did finally get home for good, and I didn't decorate it too especially, though I did spend a lot of time cleaning it first. We spent our first evening home (after seeing his parents through security at the airport - a bit more emotional than I expected, which was silly!!) putting away all of our lovely wedding gifts, then watched some show I had gotten on DVD thinking he would like, and we fell asleep on the snuggler portion of my couch - just as I had imagined it when I bought the thing! :)

I traveled about 14 hours and was greeted with a big hug and help with my cases.

He took me to McDonald's as it's become a funny tradition (being so tired and hungry after the travel) that we had to finalize the last time I would have to leave for months.

Then we got in bed together and watched our favourite comedy shows, and he stroked my hair until I fell asleep.

Perfection. :)

I was very emotional that night after saying goodbye to my best friends, so I wouldn't have liked a party or anything.

I hope he got at least a kiss during the commercials.

Hmmm. I'm giving him a bubble bath and a nice message. Then he can sleep well and wake up to my cooking.

I'm serving my hottness on a platter......

OK, so we will assume that you at least held hands. Meanwhile, the other poster says he gave his 5 month preggy wife 5 screaming orgasms, and THEN let her sleep 24 hrs the night she arrived POE.

I'm pretty sure VJ TOS prohibit me from telling you how I welcomed him home.

Actually he was exhausted so we went straight home from the airport, which is 3 hours away. He also had a tooth abcess start acting up again on the plane and he looked like he was in the process of morphing into a chipmunk and was in a lot of pain. He's a trooper though, he still wanted his welcome home. ;)

i have so many people wanting to meet him, including my chiropractor's office. i think i will take him to one place a day for about a month, so not to overwhelm him. my sisters are talking about throwing him a party, or having a dinner get together at some restaurant. then part of me, just wants to turn my cellphone off and runaway with him for awhile. we even have friends from north carolina wanting to come in the day before he gets here, and surprise him at the airport. we haven't seen them since 2007.

Give Generously, Live Fully, Laugh Often, Love Completely...AND PRAY ALWAYS!!!

He is home!!!

My fiance and future step-son arrived at Newark on November 11, and we had arranged for his sister to come from upstate NY to be at the airport to surprise him. All in all, there were 7 people at the airport to welcome them home (myself, our 2-year-old little boy, our 2-month old daughter, my mother, his sister, brother-in-law, and niece). They arrived EARLY (practically unheard of), and were waiting for US!!!! We had WELCOME HOME banners, and balloons, and I made them some homemade beef stew once we got home. It was pretty laid back, but it was amazing to finally have them here. I am still on maternity leave, so we have spent every second together, which is nice while we are adjusting to family life! We're getting married the day after tomorrow!!!!

My plan is welcome her home with some flowers at the airport and at home. She likes flowers the ones at the house being ones that she could later take care of as they will grow haha. Then my plan is to get take out she likes Chinese food then just watch a movie if she still has the energy if not then sleep time. A party is going to be to much. I plan on taking the next day off from work to show her around a bit.

This sign was at a little intersection that we come up on as we enter the town we now live in. We just took it easy when he first arrived. It is a bit overwhelming.

I just asked him, and he can't remember either. I'm sure I had something easy to make for dinner for him that I knew he'd eat (he's picky), since the airport was 90 minutes away from "home" still, and his trip was already 20+ hours since he had a 5+ hour layover at Salt Lake City (his POE). After so many hours, take it easy on your man. Let him rest and have a real meal, and make it feel like home -- that's my advice, anyway.
