Comments : My husband interviewed at the Naples consulate. His interview was originally scheduled for 1-12 and his medical for 1-11. After his medical exam he was sent to the consulate for fingerprinting and to our surprise was interviewed a day early. The visa is issued the next day.

Consulate Review: Naples, Italy
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : January 12, 2010
Embassy Review : My husbands medical exam was on January 11 with his interview scheduled for the 12th. However after the interview he was directed to go to the consulate for fingerprinting and was interviewed on the same day (Jan 11th) instead of the 12th. He stated that he was asked about how we met and about our daughter. He was asked few questions and was congratulated and told to pick up the passport with visa and the envelope with documents the next day. He stayed at Hotel Cesare Augusto. He felt the rooms could have been better and he could barely fit in the shower...and he is very thin. But at 45 euro a night it was what we paid for. Naples is a rough place though so be sure to keep safe.

Seemingly hassle free interview.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
