The honeymoon may still be going strong between the media and Obama but across the country...

the people are starting to bail.

Daily Presidential Tracking Poll

obama_index_0708.jpg

Wednesday, July 08, 2009

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 32% of the nation's voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-seven percent (37%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of –5.

The number who strongly disapprove inched up another point to the highest level measured to date and the overall Approval Index is at the lowest level yet for Obama (see trends).

In the wake of last week’s disappointing report on job loss, consumer confidence has fallen to the lowest level in two months. The Rasmussen Investor Index shows investor confidence falling to the lowest level in three months. The number of investors who say the economy is getting worse jumped from 43% before the jobs report to 51% today.

In the first place, how the poll is broken down is flawed. A cup half full view. Instead, look at it as 63%, with more than 1/2 of the 63% STRONGLY APPROVING Barack Obama.

The opinion of investors, the good folks who helped bring about the current economic crisis think the economy is getting worse? Perhaps the extent of their mistakes was under estimated? With a total global crisis at hand, of course things will get worse before they get better.

If none of the above moves you, remember the Republicans have literally nobody who is proposing much of anything to counter Obama. Saying 'no' to everything is not going to get them back into power.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Just learned this morning that I own GM, where along with the Canadians and a couple of other Americans. Do you think we will have a say on how GM cars are made?

Also heard the Chrysler engine plant in Kenosha is using bail out money to move it to Mexico and the GM plant in Janesville is trying to assemble the Chevy Volt if we can find a battery someplace. But talks about moving that to Mexico as well. Where will the illegals get a job around here? Will they have to go back to Mexico? But it does make sense to move these plants to Mexico, it's a lot closer to China where all the parts are coming from and would be very expensive to build a road between China and Kenosha or Janesville.

Course, we could build those parts here, but can't have that. All we can do is to screw them together, sure hope China provides us with the assembly instructions and preferably in Spanish so we can read them.

Obama will never be popular with me, until he makes the EPA an agency that addresses problems rather than fine them, and starts bringing what we are good at, back home.

Fair enough, but I don't think the OP view is correct. It is a bit cup half full to try and bolster a political, the sky is falling but I don't have a solution party.

If you were heavily invested in derivatives, yes, all your fault! If you were heavily involved in things like oil speculation, yep, your fault again! If you're Bernie Madoff, see you in 150 years, but frankly his was merely an obvious crime, a great many more will go unpunished or get cash thrown in their faces. Ah well...
