Congrats to all that have mailed their package and those in the process of doing so! Ya know DavShels, great idea, go for it-- I was thinking 'spreadsheet' after my husband told me the cheques had not been cashed. I was wondering about the time-frames in which USCIS are handling the packages for the month of June. I mailed my aos forms at the very end of last month, so far, not even static from their side.

Hello All!

Congrats to those that have mailed out their packets. Congrats to those who have had their checks cashed. It seems that it is taking a little over a week.

DavChels, thanks for offering to do the spread sheet. That would be great!!

NCwife, Good Luck and hang in there. It is a good thing that you are taking care of all this medical stuff now.

I hope we all have movement soon.

As the USC, the only thing that I need to do is:

Sure, ask anything and i hope tobe of help.Good for you your friends were there ,my friends live in Canada,Germany and Turkey and no one showed up.If i dont see thme during my reception we will have a fall out(Kidding)

I hope we have a speedy process .

WelcomeChadherm,do you have every document togather?

I used to spend alot of time reading the May AOS filers,i gathered everything from them and was so envious and yet happy for them.

Now,lets keep each other posted and hope our process too is as smooth.

Lets Go.

Working hard on the forms...my head hurts. I have a few questions but I am slowly figuring them out. The I-131 threw me for a loop but I am going to revisit that form right now.

One question I do have is: Can you submit Turbo Tax tax print outs and do you need your W2s?...for the I-864. I know that you don't them to apply but I hear that it helps avoid an interview.

I hope the doctor visit goes well tomorrow.

I am a June filer also, we sent our forms last week and I'm anxiously waiting for the NOA. In regards to your question, you do need to include 2008 W-2 and a copy of your 2008 tax return. I had done Turbo Tax as well, so I just printed out my completed 1040 form, signed it, and sent a copy. I guess I'll know soon if that was sufficient. I'll let you know if I should find out that it wasn't. Congratulations and good luck with the process!

That looks about right except you also need a letter of employment from your work stating when you started work and how much you make annually. The letter should state your position and wether its full time, part time .You can request it from your human resource office ,be sure to have it the same day.Well,my husband got his the same day.

I did not have the Aff of support notarized. I do not think that this is required. At least I hope not. I did include 2008, 2007, 2006 tax returns. I can't think of anything else you need to do. I am such a control freak I did the whole package myself.

Today we went to the bank and opened a joint bank account. Balvino did not need a SSN to do this but once we have it we can inform them of the change. I also changed my name on my old account, which I am keeping for a while, and opened the joint account with my married name. We then went to the RMV and I converted my license from NY to MA with my married name. When I asked about Balvino getting a DL the lady said it would be best to wait till he was authorized to work. Has anyone else had any experience with getting a DL for their new spouse?

Thanks for inspiring me DavChels. What else can I do to feel productive?
