all i can say is USCIS doesn't care about anyone they keep telling me to wait 30 days then they say wait 3 months....I been waiting 8months and still no approval I have no one to turn to what can I do???

8 months?? Time to contact your Senator or Congressman!!!! They can step in now!! Best wishes.

I contacted everyone possible still nothing... I am sitting here crying it's just not fair....

Oh my gosh. What did the senator or congressman say to you when you asked for their help??

I wrote letters they didn't even reply.....:(

Okay ,listen, tomorrow, you call the senator and congressman, they have assistants who handle problems with Immigration.

OR you write a letter, and fax it to them, then YOU CALL them to make sure they got it, and tell them you need their help.

Just writting a letter is easy to ignore, so fax them THEN call them to make sure they got it. Go from there!!!!! Do this tomorrow, okay" promise me you will do this.

Beth

Hi I got a phone call from my local congressman's office they said they recieved my letter and has contacted the immigration service in Vermont Center to get information about my case and they will call me when they have any new information. How long does it take after congressman contacts the immigration office for me to hear any good news???

hard to tell really

it depends and vary on many factors ..

i tracked ur time line and i see u got an RFE , if u replied back the RFE tht means they work on ur case and its not lost or buried under the rest of petition ..and thta a good sign ,,

so please give it a max of 30 days and lets see what happens

Good Luck :)

YA ALAH Bless Our Joureny To The End , Ameen

thank you no_where_man.. yeah, it's getting really hard on me now.. I'm planning to move back beginning of next year if nothing happens..by that time, it will be well over 1000 days.. or close to that.. if nothing happens then, I just start a new life.. and just wait it out with her.. not the life I had hoped (well, meaning living in China) for us.. but it will have to do until she hopefully gets approved.. I applied for both I-129F and I-130 at the beginning, and they transferred my case to the local office for interview about almost a year.. I brought my parents and they said everything looks good (we just wanted to check because there are lots of people doing fraud) and that we will receive our approval in 2-3 weeks.. haha, all that is in the story below.. I think someone doesn't like our petition, even though there is nothing wrong with it.. We were carrying 3 bags full of information (including the most important tax info - I even submitted 4 years too (2005-2008)..

It shouldn't be my name because I already work for the government and they usually do a background check on you.. but as you can tell, the government is not all that.. My wife said she has lots of classmates with same last name (and probably first name), but the thing is all of them have a unique ID (China Passport) and also "huokobun" (china ID).. so how hard is it do look it up?.. And remember, all this is not China's fault.. it is the AMERICAN (U.S. EMBASSY) at the various countries that are causing problems for us..

GOGO and SSB

Your Timelines dwarf mine. I wish you all the best.

Related questions, Can one start contacting his/her senator after six months of transfer or six months from the date of filing? How does one go about getting senators or congressmen involved. Is it one simple call their respective office ?

Last time I called, one lady IO ( ??) told me : Posted time of Six months are from the date they recieve the file, meaning even if my files were transferred from VSC to CSC the counting starts from the day CSC recieves it, not the day of application ( the date written on one's NOA1 ). As long as the files are not tranferred, the original date on the NOA1 counts. If the files are transferred later, say after 6 months at the VSC and then at the CSC, then a new countdown is triggered. Why ? oh Why?? they keep giving me BS. Anyone with similar experience ?

Further are there more of us out there waiting longer than 6 months ? may be a topic to start, but I dont know how?

I am hoping tto get something, anything, whatever thing but BS at this point from USCIS. Do'nt necessarily have to be from CSC, just something with DHS will do. :alien:

Hope we all receive something this week.

We’re continuing to shift staff across a spectrum of priorities, including relative petitions. As in indicated before, I do expect to see an increase in relative petition completions this month and thru the summer.

As to the second part of your question – our current systems do not publicly indicate when a case moves into active production. Internal inventory systems do tell us. WE use our processing times to help the public know how long it is taking from point of receipt, and accept inquiries if a case should fall outside our processing times.

Mr. Aytes,

Any new info as to if the temporary resources that were moved to handle other workloads have been shifted back to handle the I-130 cases for the CSC office? Any info as to if the case sitting in the mail room or if it has been assigned to an officer would be helpful.

Relative petition completions did drop in April to about 50,000. However, that was still 10% more than they received during the month. The drop was largely temporary as we shifted resources to handle an increase in other workload.

You mentioned that there isn’t any feedback. Our normal rules do apply, and if your petition is outside our case processing times our call center will take the petition information, and the service center will check the case and tell you why the case has not been processed.

Wanted to know why there was such a big slow down in processing of I-130 forms at the CSC center? There isn't any feedback and the online case status tool doesn't update any information either. I understand that there are work visas being processed but does that mean that they put all other visas on hold while they process work visas?

ahhhhhhhh... Mr. Michael Aytes responded to me already...

===============================================

From: Aytes, Michael (michael.aytes@dhs.gov)

If you have them handy, it would be helpful to have the receipt numbers from the individual applications and petitions that you filed. That would facilitate our looking into the matter.

I am sorry if I placed your names out of rank order. Please, I need help on my case and everyone at immigration is not helping me. We have been waiting for our case for over 800 days now. I am a US Citizen who works for the Los Angeles Fire Dept (City of Los Angeles). I am sad that I cannot bring my wife over here, and I am having fights with my parents every day. They wanted to believe I can bring her here (and I know that it is not a right, but a privilege), but I am out of options. All my information is below for any and all to see and help me. I know that it is not your jurisdiction to help me (I tried contacting USCIS, DOS (Dept of State), NVC (National Visa Center), wrote letters to senators, congressmen). My wife's and my life together are in your hands. Being together is a blessing, and not taken for granted.
