Well, the 3-4 days for a call back have long passed, and no call back. Was going to call them again today at lunch, but forgot the paperwork at home. So Monday I'll call them back and see what's going on with my wife's green card.

Well this is unbelievable.....i sent my RFE on july 15th, and i was tracking my RFE online. The days passed and nothing. So after a week, I called USPS (the post office) and they told me they were sorry, THEY LOST MY LETTER!!!!! So I had to call USCIS to see if I could send copies of what i sent (the I-797 plus the RFE and the form) so the lady suggested me to write a letter saying that the post office lost my papers and it could take WEEKS to find them. SO I sent again the RFE yesterday so let's see what happen this time....hopefully USCIS will receive it by monday or tuesday <_<

I would have been soooo mad, out of all the mail that goes through there, they have to lose something so important, AND SO LIFE CHANGING!!! I mean, think of it,if you hadnt noticed that nothing was changing, thinking everything had panned out, and your papers had passed the 45 day mark that the RFE has to be in by, your papers would have been concidered 'abandoned'!!!!

We had our interview on Friday everything went well.. We were Approve! the one issue we had is the vaccination form was not filled out properley by the civil surgeon, so we have to go back to a civil surgeon and then take the vaccination form in. The USCIS officer kept apologizing to us like it was his fault, he gave my husband the welcome information, he told us he will receive one in the mail also. On the new appt letter he put his name on it, so when u come back we can see him.

It was a great expeience, he didnt even asked us one question.

I received my green card yesterday, July 27th 2009.

I have to admit that i was scared like hell about all this process. What i can say is that it was much smoother and easier that i ever expected.

From the day we sent the papers (March 3rd 2009) and until the Green Card in my hand less than 5 months. I should say that USCIS rocks!!!!!!

Good luck everybody!

Does anybody know how to stop the ticker on the date the GC was received?

Thanks

Congratulations to those of you being approved or receiving Green Cards.

No news for us on the "Sworn statement" we sent, which means no news on the Green Card front.

But we're getting good news where we can, and this morning Angela finally passed her driving test (after 4 tries), and she now has a CA driver's license.

We can now be together on the same and lower-priced insurance company (Mercury Insurance). I still want to recommend GEICO for new immigrants since they accept foreign licenses, and also for not charging anything when you cancel your policy in the middle of the initial 6-month coverage. Too bad that here in CA they are about $450/year higher than Mercury, their service has been impeccable.
