an all american hero...

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I wonder how many guns he was carrying? Can't be a hero unless one is armed to the back teeth.

I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.

Not to sound sexist, but much prefer women to work as air traffic controllers, much clearer voice, and far more precise, and they listen. ATC guy was trying to find alternates, perhaps professional to say, "unable", think I would be screaming, "mayday, mayday", we are going down.

Not to sound sexist, but much prefer women to work as air traffic controllers, much clearer voice, and far more precise, and they listen. ATC guy was trying to find alternates, perhaps professional to say, "unable", think I would be screaming, "mayday, mayday", we are going down.

ATC did everything he could to find them somewhere to land. He had no time to find out how bad the problem was, and the pilot had literally no time to give details. I'm willing to bet a lot of money the ATC had never ever heard the words "We're gonna be in the Hudson" before in his life. So no surprise that he needed to double-check that bit.

As for the pilot? He did everything right. First class decision making all the way. He wasn't just cool. He was full-on Arctic. And personally double-checking the cabin twice to make sure everyone got out shows everyone the meaning of personal responsibility. A true hero
