Faith, that is GREAT news... just awesome! Here's hoping the way is smooth from here on out, and thanks for sharing your experience, painful though it was, with everyone here. It is encouraging to hear that the folks at your local office were reasonable about things.

Best wishes,

:star:

Maya

Many thanks to the Visajourney community for all the help!

Oh wow.....I just read all this as I rarely come into AOS forum.

Am so glad that this has been resolved. What a nightmare for you both. Really comforting as well to see that people can see past the red tape. All the best to you Faith.

Like I said, my faith in the system is finally restored after today.

And the way I've always looked at this process is, no matter how painful it is to me personally, I need to share it with ya'll so that the same issues don't come up with you and if they do you know how someone else handled it and fixed it. I benefited so much from the experience of others during this process, and I want to be able to give back to anyone else who needs it. Plus, many of you know that writing down the problems and then listening to others' advice is VERY theraputic!

You all kept me sane during the visa part of this process (and gave me something to do by searching approvals through NSC and posting them on here :P ), you've given me so much advice through all the process, and hopefully in 2 weeks I can post a big YEAH we got the greencard thread. So THANKS!!!! for all the support. I love my visa journey family :)

We'll keep you posted!

Sooo happy it worked out for the two of you.

I know you probably are just glad this is behind you but.

when you have time.. write out this whole situation.

What happened.. chart it. document it. how you were treated. and all

especially from the doc's office.

If it was me. I would then forward this to the Doctors office and CC to the Board of Medical Examiners office in the state that licenses this Doc.

The BME pays close attention to complaints. If it is a error on part by a employee of this Doc. he/she is ultimaetly responsible of hte actions representing himself.

If anything.. at least it is documented. You never know if he may have had other complaints..

caring isn't caring unless the other person knows;

sharing isn't sharing unless the other person is included

I'm so glad things are turning around for you Faith !

Hopefully this will go thru without a hitch and your whole process will be over for 2 more yrs.

GoodLuck and good luck also to your hubby for the new Job!

Lily (F)

Well, Johnny showed up for his infopass appointment and saw the same lady we saw on Monday. She said "oh no, I knew it! They won't give you anything at the doctor's will they?" Johnny explained what had happened on Monday and she said that she was going to take the new medical form back to her supervisor and see what he can do. So a few minutes later she comes back and tells Johnny that the supervisor took one look at it and said "this isn't their fault. they've done everything they were supposed to do and can do. They should NOT have to pay any more fees". So, they've accepted the case as reopened... they say we should hear something from their office within 2 weeks. Also, my hubby's work authorization has been reinstated and the march 9th get out date has been stopped!!!

FINALLY, I've gotten some of my faith in the system back! It's refreshing to know that at least 2 people in the St. Louis office have a heart and are able to see past the red tape to see the clear aspects of a case.

I'd forgotten to post on here that the job that J has been working (a temp job at Ralcorp in St. Louis) told him that if he could get this straightened out today then he could come back to work. (which is impressive as he is just a temp there). So he's going to call them today and see if they want him to come back. The best news is that he'll still be able to take the new job on March 20th.... the one that comes with health insurance and all sorts of benefits.

Even though it seems like things are going great now for us, please please, anyone who is going through AOS and needs a supplement.... make sure the doctor has filled out the right forms! Get copies! And for the love of God, please DO NOT go to the People's Health Clinic in St. Louis, MO. They are the ones that screwed ours up. Let me be your shining example of what can go wrong :P

We'll keep you posted and let you know what we hear from USCIS in 2 weeks :)

Faith,

Whoa... this is the worst nightmare. Considering you're pregnant and all... And you really were able to hang on up to what your "name" really means. I really admire your strength.

I hope nobody else goes through this... Nobody deserves such a denial from the USCIS - through the carelessness of people whose duties are so crucial in the whole AOS process.

I'm really glad you can now breathe a sigh of relief.... it must have been very difficult for you.

WOW honestly, what an ordeal!

I am so thankful that everything has ended up working out in your favor. I guess in some small way the USCIS CAN do things right every now and then.

I would have KISSED that supervisor!!!
