Keith has just broken up with me, he cant take the let downs and the being apart anymore. He said goodbye , what do i do now? We are weeks from the interview but have no cosponsor and I didnt make enough to do it so I need to know what I have to do now. I am broken , I am lost and I am all alone. This hurts so bad and I cant take the pain. He is my life and without him I am nothing.

This is your decision, you need to either resolve your relationship issue and work toward interview, or withdraw the petition, at this point by contacting DOS Visa services.

Usually, it's best to do nothing at all right away. This is stressful time made worse by the holiday stress. If things don't work out in the end, you simply notify the Consulate you are withdrawing the petition.

I agree. Give him some space and see what happens. You've got time to take a breather and re-evaluate if things can work out before ending the petition. Hon, you don't want a guy that isn't willing to move heaven and earth for YOU. That includes being tough enough to do whatever it takes to get through this process by being patient, and understanding of your feelings. Marriage isn't easy and when you're short on money, it's a real struggle. Just ease off for a bit and see if he's worth it or if he would just throw in the towel after marriage when things didn't come easily.

I know, it's hard to think about that now when you're so emotional. :crying: I understand. But when you can stop crying long enough to think with your brain, instead of your heart, maybe you can sort it all out.

Wow. I am so sorry. Did you know that the NAO2 is valid for 4 months? The consulate can extend this if for some reason your fiance is not ready to interview. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and all the hurdles we have to jump over will, in the long run, make us better people.

Chelle

Chelle,

I have a friend who just went same thing, but just as his fiance was about to go to interview, she decided that things were moving too fast and she could not leave her parents so soon..(shes 27) . I think she will never leave, but thats not for me to judge! Sometimes many people get stuck at home and can't imagine going around the world to start a new life.

My friend was crushed and spent weeks trying to change her mind and just came home from Ukraine crushed, but to let her think, and we talk about this every day. Now after two weeks, she is reconsidering and needs answers, can they come back to ukraine once a year, can she travel alone, can her parents come to visit, etc, etc.

but the forum is right, it takes strength and alot of pampering each other to get thru all this bullshit and when economy gets strained on both ends, people layed off before interview, people relocated by jobs, then it shows the REAL strength of who will step up and still make it work. There are always potholes in the road, but we seems to drive around them and we always end up where we are going, so slow it down and take advantage of the time limits and see where things go, ok? I hope this helps a bit!

Try to enjoy Xmas if you can

I am sooo sorry to hear what happened, Chelle!

You two have gotten so far though that I still believe you can make it. His energy might be worn off by the trouble of finding a co-sponsor you had lately adding to the general stress of moving to another country and finding a job in a difficult market right now. Give him time and space to realize what he will be losing. Maybe you guys can talk about making alternative plans even he doesn't want to deal with US immigration any longer.

I would suggest you proceed with the K1 and take your time. If he really doesn't want this anymore, then you need to withdraw your petition properly.

Good luck, Chelle!

Chelle,

I might be completely out of order here but didn't you post somewhere recently that he's done this before and you went after him to England? My apologies if I mixed you with somebody else but if I haven't don't you think there's something not quite right here?!

As previous posters said, moving countries and in most cases continents, is not easy. He needs to want to be with you despite all the problems and difficulties along the way. But does he? He seems to me like someone who gives in and gives up all too easily. I know you are hurt and that you love him but in the long run, do you really want to be with someone who'll run every time there is a bump on the road? I am not saying that he doesn't love you, what I'm questioning is if he loves you enough! As much as you deserve?! And you do deserve better. Will you be picking up the peaces once a year or more often? What will happen when (if) you get married and start the AOS process? He might not be able to run all the way back to England but remember misery loves company. Do you really want to go down that road?

You said you are nothing without him. PLEASE don't do that to yourself. You might not feel complete without him but YOU, as an individual, as a human, is worthy and valued. In you own right, you are a special person and if he cannot see that then he is not for you.

I really am sorry that you are going though all this. I hope things work for the best and you manage to figure out what is best for YOU. Be strong and be positive.

Wishing you all the best.

T.
