Maybe because of a few recent really detailed threads, I sit here and am truly amazed at how much people share about their private lives....everything from troubles in the marriage, family problems, health issues, financial woes, etc.... It's not that I think people shouldn't post all these things, and of course I read them and it doesn't bother me, but I guess because I'm pretty private, that even on an anonymous message board, I don't feel comfortable sharing the really intimate details of my life. I guess I'm just curious why people do share so much? I'm sure someone will take this the wrong way...dunno...and again I'm not saying people shouldn't get it all out if they need to. Just curious... *shrug*

Why be in a anonymous forum if your scared to share details that you really want to share???

ahhh, but there you are mistaken...there is nothing I really want to share...not at this time anyway ;) I've used this board for support with immigration related issues.

well if you ever feel the need........you know where to do it.

Sorry but I am not so organized:(.

I think most people would be amazed at the infomation they think they don't give out. Case in point, that I was able to contact AKDiver's wife by phone at her place of employment. Some members on this forum make it easy to collect personal information which can be quickly cross-referenced.

I personally try to keep my posts related to common issues. On the other hand I can understand why people feel the need to bring personal things here. If I complain about my husband to my mom or my best friend, they may never forgive him .. even after I have. Though in reality the biggest problem we have had is something everyone here can understand and no one in my personal life can .. which is how hard the distance can be.

I agree, Lisa, and not being critical about it either! :) I read the 'oral' thread last night, when I was doing some polls and actually laughed out loud..threads don't NORMALLY make me actually sit here cracking up..usually just a smile, ya know? Learned wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more about people here than I thought I would!! ;) M. :)

Thats true. I had someone bugging me badly on here and hubby had his business and home addy plus phone numbers within 15 mins :whistle:
