Hey Goldie, I have the same situation  ! My fiance is going to call NVC again today, whenever he wakes up over there :), and I also sent an email and still waiting for reply. I've heard that people get Package 3 within 10-14 days after their NOA2 so I'm getting worried too cause we didn't get any emails or any notice in the mail either.. I also contacted the US embassy here in Croatia and of course they don't know anything either. And we thought it was really going well after we got our NOA2 (May 2nd)!

The NVC is nothing more than a point of distribution for K visa applications. All that the NVC will do is pass on your petition to the appropriate Consulate.

Be patient. The next time you'll hear anything is probably when your petition reaches the consulate.

Lidija,

good to hear others are in the same situation.. but still, i just have no more patience now. and i hate when i cant do anything or cant get any information. well, i guess all we can do is waiting until we hear from our embassys. i thought that the NVC as well send a letter to the fiancee wher they inform them which embassy they will deal with...

Yesterday later in the afternoon EST I called the NVC number that was on the NOA2.

The prompts have one that says K visas; I chose that one; I think it went to the wait queue for a live person.

The time the automated system said it'd take was 3 minutes; it took more; I just stayed on the phone.

He man asked for the NOA2 notice number, same as NOA1, didn't find the case in the NVC system, then ask SSN.

Then he asked me to read the first paragraph of the NOA2 to make sure I had what I thought I had and was asking about.

Then he said it takes 2 - 4 weeks for them to receive it.

Some seem to have gotten notice from the NVC rather quickly; however, that was before all the IMBRA started coming down.

I wonder if this NVC situation is the result of IMBRA and additional checks.

Try calling this number: 603 334-0700

It IS possible to talk to a live person at the NVC because I did it twice (in the same day, no less ;) ), you just have to go through all the selections. Also, unlike the USCIS, which will put you on hold, if you aren't within like 5 minutes of getting your call answered by the operator, the NVC number just says something like "All our operators are busy, thank you for calling the NVC" and ends the call, so you have to call back immediately over and over again. When the automated voice says something like "Your call will be answered in ... FIVE ... minutes" stay on the line because it means you're almost there.

And... Good Luck!

Its always taken 2-4 weeks for NVC to receive petitions, sometimes less. The service centers send them off in batches.....it can be a week or so before it even leaves the service center.

I'm sure you will know something soon about your petition. Waiting and being patient is difficult in this process *hugs*

I just wanted to tell your our experience since NOA2.

Approved on April 13th and It was received at NVC on April 28th.

I got a letter from NVC on May 5th dated May 1st that they had received my petition and with in the week they would be forwarding it to the Embassy. After one week I began calling to make sure. Everyday I would call. Every day they would say, it is not sent yet. I kept referring to the letter. They kept saying processing is not done yet. One women at NVC last week told me it is in Administrative Processing. That scared me to death. I called back about an hour later to verify what she said. And the person I talked to said it is normal processing. I called this past monday and the women assured me. She said " please dont worry, It is ok. Nothing is wrong." She was very reassuring and I felt much better. I called Tuesday around 5pm and a man told the the magic word. IT WAS SENT TODAY!!!! Thank God! So some are taking longer than others, go figure!

My initial thought was: WELCOME to Visa Journey and the Waiting HELL!!!

But

OP, be strong and be patient (easy for me to say now) We K-1 Visa folks have been through the very exact same period as you are going through right now... the name of this "GAME" with USCIS is "WAIT, then WAIT some more, Then wait longer, and we'll get you your visa" :)

Cheer up! Knowing you're not alone is very helpful and supporting, IMO. Keep in mind, you're now dealing with the most disfunctional organization/dept of the Government. SEE how we end up with 12 millions ILLEGAL immigrants here in the US and these folks are about to get Citizenship status...

Good luck and hugs from both of us...

Hang in there

Goldie wanted to give you an update of my situation. My fiance called 603 334 0700, waited only couple of minutes and talked to the lady at NVC. She said they received our application yesterday (took 12 days) and that it will be forwarded to the embassy in Croatia in 2-4 weeks!!! Wow that's a lot longer than we expected so I'm kinda pissed but what can I do. Wait like everyone on here I guess.. It was definitely a good idea to call not only for the status updated, but we also found out that they somehow have a wrong date of birth for me in the system and even though they have my 325 form and copies of my passport, they want me to send them my passport pages again so that they can make a correction. I just hope that doesn't cause further delays now. Good luck to you and call if you can't stop thinking about it!
