Johanna wrote me a four page note and left the house yesterday while I was at work. She only took about half of her clothing and nothing of mine.

I called her Aunt in Bogota who says she is the process of returning to Bogota but could not confirm a date of arrival.

I call the local Police and filed and incident report that she left a note stating she was returning to Bogota to have a timeline for her departure on record in case she goes somewhere in the US.

In the next week or two I would have suggested to her that she return home. The relationship was not feeling correct and I knew what she was up to on the side.

I will post if I get confirmation she is in Bogota.

I would think I need to contact USCIS to withdraw my K1 Application.

Any input on the best way to contact and the correct procedure to follow.

Thanks

Robert :crying:

Robert I am so sorry it has ended this way for you... I would think the best thing for you to do would be to make an infopass appointment at your local office and tell them what has happened and they should be able to help you get this sorted out.....

I wish you all the best for the future and my thoughts are with you....

Robert,

I am so sorry to hear this but your heart was already telling you it was amiss. I would get copies of the police incidence report and write a letter withdrawing your petition. Maybe you can contact ICE and the NVC with this letter and report. Also, maybe someone else can offer you more advise. Hang in there and will continue to remember you in my thoughts and prayers.

Robert:

I too (as a fellow Seattle-ite) have been watching your story and was hoping maybe you were wrong about your fiance and that you two could work it all out.

I can't even imagine how devestated you must be after all the hopes and dreams you had for your life together with your fiance and all the hard work and efforts required to obtain the K-1 Visa.

I hope you can heal and move on with your life. Just remember, it won't happen overnight and every day will get a little easier.

Best wishes to you.

Rayma

I'm sorry about what happend robert... but at least you can say that if the relationship wasnt meant to be, at least you did not spend years with this girl to find out that she was the wrong one.. however you do need to contact USCIS or make an infopass appointment, because I have a feeling she's not going to leave the U.S. If she was going to leave the U.S. she would have done that right away.

Mail a letter to your district office and to ICE, stating that you will not be proceeding with the marriage or the relative petition and that the alien has left your home. You can enclose evidence if you wish demonstrating that she up and left.

Sorry to hear of the outcome. I know it may not be easy to think of it as a blessing that it either happened now or that she made the choice to leave, but believe me it is.

Very sorry to hear this. It is good, though, that you hadn't married. That would have made things more complex for you, not to mention hurtful.

Mermaid's advice will hopefully help you on the visa front.

Take care. (F)

Hi Robert,

A hug for you ((((HUG)))).

You will find happiness. Have faith in these words. (L)

Mermaid has given good practical advice. Make a copy of that letter and make a phone call for an infopass 1st thing tomorrow. As we say in NY, "cover your a**".

You are in my thoughts and prayers.
