  • 07/19/07 Completed preparation of I-129F & associated documentation. Mailed it.
  • 08/03/07 Received NOA1 from the CSC.
  • 12/13/07 Received NOA2 from the CSC.
  • 01/23/08 NVC sent our case to U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou China.
  • 03/31/08 U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou China received, issued case number.
  • 04/05/08 P3 received.
  • 04/06/08 P3 sent.
  • 05/01/08 P4 received.
  • 05/12/08 Flight to China.
  • 06/23/08 Interview at U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou China- PINK.
  • 06/25/08 K1 & K2 visas received.
  • 07/09/08 We all arrive in America, Chicago POE
  • 08/06/08 Fiancee receives SSN (req. for marriage in our state)
  • 08/08/08 Married
  • 09/01/08 Moved into new house. AR-11's filed for wife & son.
  • 09/19/08 AOS / EAD package mailed.
  • 09/25/08 AOS / EAD NOAs.
  • 10/02/08 Biometrics letters.
  • 10/16/08 Biometrics taken.
  • 10/17/08 Case transferred to CSC.
  • 12/08/08 EADs approved / EAD cards issued.
  • 03/05/09 AOS approved.
  • 03/12/09 Green Cards received.
  • 09/17/10 Application for Lifting Conditions Mailed.
  • 10/04/10 NOA1
  • 10/19/10 Biometrics Taken.
  • 01/07/11 Removal of Conditions Approved
  • 02/26/12 Still Happily Married & Doing Well

I am Canadian and my US hubby says he is going to put up the food, for me it is put away the food.

So right that there are many differences in the way we say things.

And yeah for Foy-yah. I must say when I heard it from my hubby (foyer) I thought oh he just doesn't realize how you pronounce it, isn't that funny, then I heard it on decorating shows and I thought holy ####### it is an American thing, it was pretty funny.

Has caused us some grief saying things and it coming across and different to each other.

K-1 journey, AOS/EAD and ROC in my timeline

2011 March 31 - Sent off Naturalization pkg overnight to Texas

2011 April 1 - Arrived in Texas at 10:21 am

2011 April 1 - NOA (rec'd via snail mail April 8)

2011 April 7 - Cheque cashed

2011 May 5 - Biometrics (letter rec'd via snail mail April 15)

2011 May 9 - Placed in line for interview scheduling

2011 June 13 - Rec'd yellow letter (no change in status online)

2011 June 23 - Rec'd text that my case has been scheduled for interview

2011 August 1 - Interview (rec'd via snail mail June 27) PASSED

2011 August 3 - Rec'd email that my case has been scheduled for Oath

2011 September 1 - Oath ceremony (rec'd snail mail Aug 5)

2011 September 1 - All done, yeah.

oh I'll try that sometime. I'll make a note

I teach ESOL to Brazilians (and my husband is from there) so there are a lot of small problems they have pronouncing some words....

My husband sounds funny when he says "What happened?"...

04/2007 - Apply for AOS & EAD

07/2007 - EAD approved

01/2008 - Conditional Residency approved

11/2009 - Apply to remove conditions

02/2010 - Permanent Residency approved

11/2010 - Apply for Citizenship

03/2011 - Citizenship approved

07/2011 - Moved back to Brazil

10Yr GC arrived 07/02/09 - Naturalization is next

The drama begins - again!

And now the drama ends - they took the Green card . . .

i once asked my american husband to "open the tv" instead of "turn on the tv" :rofl: he then laughed so hard until i realized wat he was laughig for :lol::D

09.06.2010 - Got my EAD Card (62 days)

09.07.2010 - Applied for SSN

09.14.2010 - SSN Card received

09.16.2010 - Interview schedule (APPROVED)

09.20.2010 - Welcome Notice Received ("Welcome to the USA")

09.25.2010 - 10 yr Green Card received! (98 days)

oh lets see...there were a few that i can remember.

when asking me about toes he couldnt remember toes so he said...u know the fingers on ur feet.

those are only a few i can think of right now. im so used to the way he talks now i dont here his mistakes.

neil says so many things different and his native language is english as well. and now that I have started to type that I can't think of any examples. dammit!!!!

i started to type a reply then my mind went blank too! *bonk* there are so many examples but i can't think of a single one now! :whistle:

when i said and pronounced the word "SQUIRREL", at first he didnt understand what i was talking about and when i described what im saying, he bursted into a laugh and since then he made joke of me with that squirrel :rofl: , hahaha,But now, i dont say or call it squirrel, i already named it "that small animal" :lol:
