Well guys and gals... time to drop the hammer on this bad boy and send in our K-1 application.

I just took 4 hours putting it all together. I have yet to put the pictures in baggies and such but for the greater part.. it is done.

Any last words of advice for final assembly? I have read assembly instructions a hundred times but now that D-Day is here.. well.. I am a little spooked to hit the beach! hehe

I am going to use heavy duty paperclips for this mountain of paperwork unless someone else suggests otherwise.

Thanks for the advice and wish us luck!

AOS and EAD

December 5th 05 - AOS and EAD sent

December 16th 05 - NOA's received for both AOS and EAD

December 31st 05 - Receive letter for AOS interview

February 6th 06 - AOS Interview - APPROVED

February 16th 06 - Biometrics Appointment

February 22nd 06 - EAD Approved via e mail

February 27th 06 - EAD card in mail!!!

March 6th 06 - Got a job!

March 17th 06 - Green Card Approval via e mail

March 18th 06 - 'Welcome to America' letter arrives

March 24th 06 - Green Card Arrives!

Sent it using a trackable service such as USPS express mail. That way you'll know when it got there and who signed for it.

Double and triple check every box and make sure it's all done in black ink.

12/15/2005 - Sent I-129F to Vermont Service Center

12/17/2005 - VSC receives I-129F via express courier (day 1)

12/23/2005 - VSC officially sends out NOA1 stating receipt

01/05/2006 - Called the National Service Center and got NOA1 receipt number.

01/10/2006 - NOA2 received via USCIS website and email. VSC is blazingly fast! (day 22!)

01/20/2006 - Receive NOA2 via snail mail in Thailand

01/26/2006 - Bangkok Embassy confirms our case is in their system (day 38)

01/30/2006 - Dropped off checklist and doc's with embassy

01/31/2006 - Received email from embassy confirming our interview date 3/20/06! Woohoo! (day 43)

02/08/2006 - Received police report and packet 4

03/01/2006 - Medical Exam completed

03/20/2006 - Interview! (day 91)- SUCCESS!

03/21/2006 - Picked up VISA!

04/04/2006 - Fly to USA together to get officially married in US and to start our life there together!

04/07/2006 - Arrived at JFK, C received temp EAD stamp. Drove to MD to live!

04/20/2006 - Applied for SS Card in maiden name, received it 3 days later

05/12/2006 - Officially married in the US! (2nd ceremony)

05/15/2006 - US Reception

05/16/2006 - Applied for new SS card with married name - Applied for EAD

06/01/2006 - Applied for AOS I-485

10/27/2006 - EAD Approved!

Cross your t's and dot your i's. Ensure there is no box left blank to avoid an RFE on this issue by putting 'None' or 'N/A'. Make sure everything is signed and dated that needs to be. If you have any translations make sure there is a copy of the original as well.

Jun 26 Flew to Missoula to meet him & a weekend trip turned into a five week visit...

2005

March 31 During a meeting in Vancouver, John proposed & I said YES!!!

Jun 2 Finally sent off our I-129F & a few days later we received NOA1. I am now officially an alien bride-to-be.

Aug 22 Email notification of NOA2.

Sep 12 Received letter to say application would be forwarded to US Embassy.

Nov 23 Returned packet 3 to Embassy

Feb 1 Interview. APPROVED!

Hi Randy,

Check the I-129F package, and then re-check it and when you think it is perfect re-check it. Send it through USPS Express overnight like that you can track-it and know who sign for it. The one bad news is that you are going through the worst service center CSC/TSC but the quicker you start the process the quicker you finish. Congratulations and the best of luck. :thumbs:

It is a very good thing you guys said to recheck everything so many times. I almost missed putting in the form declaring all copies as being true copies of originals!! After reading posts something told me to check just one more time... and... baddabing!!
