Just the copy.. never give original, you will need it in some paperworks here in US. It takes time again to reproduce new one from home country.

The form says "a certified copy" which for all intents and purposes here in Georgia means an original. When I went to get ours after we were married, I got 4, you can't tell the difference between them. We sent one of those. We would never send the only one we had though.

No is does not... what it says is "Attach a copy of the fiancé(e) petition approval notice, a copy of your marriage certificate and your Form 1-94."

YMMV

I also sent a certified copy. I wasn't sure and to me it wasn't worth the risk. I had ordered 3 official copies and then my mother got an additional 2 before I already told her I was getting 3. So in the end we ended up with 5! Now we have 4 as one is with the USCIS, which they will keep. That's fine in my book.

thanks everyone!!! i have 2 certified copies of my marriage license, so i'll just send in one of those just to be safe!!!

I would get addtionals just in case as the process goes on ( like removal of conditions ) you may need a few more. We got 5 certified copies.

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?
