aww Jenn, that song was our wedding song! boohoo that's so tragic....

hmmm as for the claim that he was found naked- why would you get naked and then kill yourself? I don't believe he commited suicide. I asked hubby to investigate, he works for the nypd and he's down there tonight. :innocent:

I heard something about him being found by a masseuse, which could explain why he was naked.

Very sad and shocking :((F)

I know I'll probably regret coming into this conversation, but...

The fact that Ledger was using either over-the-counter or prescription medication (instead of illegal drugs) speaks volumes here. Yes, every substance you put into your body can (and often does) have a side-effect; however, it's not the same thing when someone dies from accidentally having one too many Tylenol or a bad reaction to Penicillin versus doing Heroin or Cocaine.

We generally trust that OTC and prescription medications will be safe for us to use and in most cases they are. There are, of course, certain circumstances which could lead to problems arising -- such as not taking the medication as directed, allergic reactions or combining poorly with other substances. We don't know all of the details and if some of the newer reports are true that Ledger had pneumonia at the time of his death, that could be the culprit right there.

So before we all jump on the "Heather Ledger should have known better" bandwagon, let's just take a wait-and-see approach for right now. Until we have all the necessary facts surrounding his untimely death, we shouldn't make absolute statements.

Very well stated!

A housekeeper came to wake him up for a masseuse appointment, and found him. :(

And some people do sleep in the nude, so that didn't surprise me.

I cán't believe it, this is so sad :( he was a very good actor and what I hear from people that he was very nice as a person as well. I wonder why did he he overdosed him self with what ever medicine he used. I think an autopsy will be performed on his body today. We'l see what actually happened but I feel really bad for his young daughter :(

This is a very good post, Deadpool. My mother was DOA at the local hospital due to an allergic reaction to prescription medication and they managed to resuscitate her. Luckily, she was at the hairdresser's and asked them to call 911 before losing consciousness. It would have been a far different story if she'd been home alone like she normally is.

I don't know who Heath Ledger is but the death of someone in the prime of their life is always tragic.
