We were approved and now we are waiting for the visa to be sent to the consulate near us. Update: it took only 3 business days for the passport to arrive at the consulate near us for pickup. We then entered the US on the 13th of November after our two year anniversary so that we could be issued an IR1 visa instead of a CR1 visa with conditions and having to go through this whole process with the USCIS again in 2 years. Now we are just waiting on the physical green card to arrive in the mail. We received the social security number 1 week after arrival in the US. But with the passport with visa you are able to work and get state IDs and all that jazz. Update 1/26/24: His green card arrived on Saturday but it has the wrong category. It says CR1 instead of IR1. We entered the United States AFTER our two-year marriage anniversary so he should have been issued an IR1 visa, 10 year green card and he wasn't. I filed an I-90 to get this corrected but I'm not sure how long this will take. USCIS website says the average processing time for an I-90 is 23 months??? His green card will expire before then if it truly does take the 23 months to process. So we're kind of in a limbo right now trying to figure out what to do next, but also twiddling our thumbs waiting for something to happen. Update 2/23/24: A week after we filed the I-90 we got a letter in the mail letting us know that we had an appointment on the 6th of February at our local USCIS office. We went there on the 6th and they took his fingerprints and a photo and told us that we should be receiving an updated green card in the mail soon and that once we got the new green card, they would ask for the old one back. On the 21st we got an update on USCIS that his card was being produced so now it's just a waiting game to see when it'll come in the mail and if they actually corrected the visa category on there! Update 03/12/24: His corrected green card arrived in the mail yesterday and this time it was actually correct. Showing his IR1 visa category. So now everything is correct! 2024-03-12
Tiff2 B & E Jordan Vermont No Amman, Jordan 2021-06-28 2021-06-28 2022-10-04 2022-10-08 2023-02-16 2023-02-16 2023-02-16 2023-04-19 2021-03-08 660 When I applied for my husband I was a greencard holder, I became citizen seven months after we submitted I130, our lawyer sent the certificate but it didnt get update, tired of waiting for an update notice I called them, they didnt even update it until I filed a request over the phone 5 months later, it took one week for me to get an email with the notice of the category being update( I recommend if you need to update information in your case you should also giving them a call) in my point of view this helped our case to get approve faster since I became citizen. We got an RFE because our lawyer didn't send our marriage certicate she only sent the marriage contract. Also when uploading the financial documents add w2s and transcripts because there are a lot of people getting RFE because of that. 2023-04-19

I arrived at DFW and went through the border in about 10 minutes. All they asked was when we got married and for a contact number (gave them my wife's number) in case of issues. No secondary or anything. 2024-05-30
