The airport itself was deserted! I am used to having some long waits to go through immigration, but I was able to walk straight to an officer in a cubicle. Usually before hand, you usually would go to a machine and enter details regarding your entry. On this machine there is no option for a CR1 visa and the immigration officers who were waiting near the machines told me multiple different things so I guess not everyone is aware of the procedure. After a few attempts I spoke to one officer who informed me that I should just speak to an officer at the cubicle. After speaking to the officer, he then requested another officer take me to another room. After watching border security, I knew this was a detention room where you wait for your final checks. The room had a tv and vending machines and I’m guessing because of the current climate, it was very empty! I had a wait of around 45 mins before I was told I could go, and that was that 😃 2023-07-09
